Much improved rearview video feed
A few months ago, I got a Wolfbox G850. I was just blown away by it! And then I saw that Wolfbox got a G900 that has the enhanced rearview camera, so I jumped on it. Because while I was blown away by G850, I wished that the display was brighter, like an actual mirror. I know the technology is there because I have a factory digital rearview mirror from Toyota and it works just like a physical mirror. First the con: I’ve had it for 3+ month now, so I can confidently say that if there is any glitches, I probably experienced them all. I had two complains for the G850 – the mirror isn’t as bright and that the voice activated function is too sensitive and because it is listening constantly for command, it would do something unexpected. I got it fixed by turning off the voice command. Now for the G900 – I use the Wolfbox as a digital mirror because my 2025 Prius has a very narrow view from the stock rearview mirror. The screen (or you can say the “mirror”) for G900 is much brighter than the G850 so that’s a big step forward. I do have a 2022 Toyota RAV4 PRIME and it came with a factory digital rearview mirror (so that’s the gold standard) – and while G900 is not as bright and not come off as mirror, it is about 90% close to it. The night vision (which is the real stress test) is acceptable and much better than the G850 (tho the G850 is tolerable). So the G900 is in between the G850 and the Toyota digital rearview mirror. For this price point, you are getting a really solid bang for the buck! The G900 would all of a sudden while driving, switch from “rearview only” to a split screen with the front on the left and the rear on the right. It is easy to press one of the digital button -but it is a distraction and potentially a safety hazard because it does take your eyes off the road for a second (for me). However, it doesn’t happen enough - in my 3-4 months owning this device, it only occurred about 4 times. So it’s not a big concern that warrants me to call their customer service. The other thing with these cameras is that it is giving you what the rearview camera is seeing and pushes out to the display. But there’ll be a discconnct with the distance you’d see from the side-mirror. This is because the images in the side-mirrors are purposely made so that the object would appear closer than it actually is for safety purposes. The Wolfbox products displays objects as is. This is perfectly fine except when you are checking for traffic in the back, it takes a bit to adjust to when you are looking in the side-mirror and then look in the rearview mirror (or vice versa) so you’ve got to take that into consideration. Maybe with habit, your brain will adjust to it more quickly overtime. For the pro: It is much brighter than G850. The display for the rearview (which is 100%) what my review is focused on, is much much sharper than G850. It is also brighter, getting close to that of an actual “mirror” image – the resolution is there but I wished that it would be brighter (and I set the brightness on the highest scale available). The G900 version is high in resolution. Overall, you can see that it is a high quality product. There are a lot of nice features such as being able to view video from an app on your phone etc. I’ve not tried any of these – I just wanted something that can replace the stock physical mirror, no tech glitches and easy to see. The rest would icing on the cake for me so I’ve not bothered with them. I’d totally buy this product again! 5 stars! PS. I had Best Buy installed the G850 for me. With the G900, the only cable I needed to replace is the video feed cable – the GPS and the power cable are the adapters and I didn’t need to take them off. So this made the installation much easier on the tech and on my wallet. Best Buy charged me $99 for a professional installation on the video feed cam.

Delivers on every level!
I’ve been running this Wolfbox front and rear dash cam mirror system for about 8 months now and I’ve put it through just about everything. Daily driving, highway runs, bad weather, tight parking lots. It does what it says and honestly gives you more value than I expected at this price. First off, the biggest win is the visibility and the dash cam setup. Having front and rear recording built in with a full screen mirror is a game changer. You get a wide view behind you that you just don’t get with a regular mirror, and being able to adjust the camera angle up and down and zoom in helps you dial it in exactly how you want it. That flexibility alone puts it ahead of a lot of factory setups. Now for the honest part. The camera quality is good, but it is not OEM level. During the day it looks solid and does the job no problem. At night, if you are in a well lit area, it still performs well. But out on dark highways with no street lights, you are mostly seeing headlights and not much detail beyond that. That is probably the biggest weakness. Close up clarity is another area where factory cameras still win. On my Ram and Chevrolet, the OEM cameras are sharper. You can make out faces and small details very clearly. With this system, you can still see vehicles and people behind you, but the image is more pixelated and not nearly as crisp when you zoom in. Speaking of zoom, it is a great feature, but just know when you zoom in you do lose some image quality. That is expected, but worth mentioning. Installation was the only real headache for me, and that is more about my truck than the product. I mounted the rear camera up high on the cab because I was not willing to drill holes or mess with seals. That means I do have a wire visible running to the back. Not ideal, but for me the added safety and recording is worth it. If you are willing to take more time with routing or get creative with your third brake light, you can probably clean that up better. Customer service deserves a shout out. I ordered the wrong camera at first and they fixed it immediately. Sent out the correct one along with an extension cable with zero hassle. That kind of support matters. Bottom line, if you are expecting factory level camera quality, this is not that. But those systems cost thousands. For what this costs, it delivers big time. As a dash cam system alone it is worth it, and the upgraded rear view mirror is a huge bonus. I would absolutely recommend it. For the price and what you get, it is an easy five stars.

Huge Improvement - Very Happy
Ease of Use: 10/10 Very easy to use and intuitive. Night Vision: 8/10 There is some graininess in low-light conditions, but I don’t think any competitors at this price point perform noticeably better. Video Quality & Safety: 10/10 I’m very satisfied overall. The rear view is extremely wide-angle and practically eliminates blind spots from the side mirrors. I often see vehicles in the digital rear view before they appear in the side mirrors. Because of the wide field of view, it does take some time to adjust to depth perception. Vehicles farther than ~20 feet appear slightly farther away than expected, but within 20 feet the distance looks accurate. In direct rear sunlight, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the camera and display performed. I could still clearly identify vehicles behind me without glare becoming overly distracting. GPS: 7/10 I tucked and hid the GPS unit in the lower right front A-pillar. The speed reading seems slightly slower than the vehicle’s odometer, but I disabled the MPH display on the screen anyway. Functionality: 10/10 The touchscreen and swipe gestures are smooth, intuitive, and responsive. I haven’t tested downloading recordings to my phone yet, but based on the overall experience, I expect it to work fine. Overall Impression This digital rear-view camera is a no-brainer if you regularly use both third-row seats with kids. My kids’ headrests blocked about 80% of the factory rear view. With this system installed, rear visibility is dramatically improved, and we feel much safer. Installation Notes (2023 Lexus GX 460) I installed this on a 2023 Lexus GX 460 and used the Wolfbox wiring kit to tap into the ACC fuse box. The rear-view mirror area is surrounded by safety sensors, which I didn’t want to disturb. As shown in the attached wiring diagram, I chose not to power the unit when the vehicle is parked (engine off). To do this, I fused the red wire together with the yellow constant-power wire and connected them using a single fuse. The vehicle’s ACC fuse is 7.5A, while the fuse provided in the Wolfbox wiring kit is 5A. I routed the rear camera cable along the passenger side and had just enough length to mount the camera at the top center of the rear door. For larger vehicles or trucks, I would recommend purchasing a longer rear camera cable.

Will be a returning customer to Wolfbox.
Got the inspiration from the Chevy/GMC to go this route with a Rear View Camera Mirror. It also replaced a very outdated 1080p Forward Facing Camera. This was purchased with the Wolfbox Hardwire kit and Mirror Mount. If you have any knowledge with 12v electrical, you can have this installed in less than 1 Hour. I mounted the camera on the outside of my SUV above the rear hatch. Pros: -Ease of install -2160 Front Camera. Day and Night mode is amazing! -Voice Enabled [Use "Turn off/on screen" a lot] -Can be used as a normal rear view mirror -Wifi to connect to Phone to download images/Video -Video "Height" adjustment for Front Or Rear view Camera -Compass/Speedo. I drive an older vehicle so the compass is a plus. My speedo is off calibration due to much larger tires than stock. -Video Playback when video is downloaded has amazing quality in daytime or night time [Front] Cons: -ONE time it failed to boot up due to one of Florida HOT summer days. Was about 130F inside the vehicle. -Booting up majority of the time is on average 10-15 seconds. I usually let my vehicle engine warm up so it doesn't bother me. If you're the one who starts up and immediately drives, could be bothersome to you. -Rear camera, imo, isn't true 1440p. The video playback quality during the daytime on my S24 ultra isn't as sharp as you'd expect 1440p to be. Night time playback on rear camera is more like 1080/720p. Rear Camera will disconnect and Screen will go blank then return to Dual View mode [instead of returning to rear camera]. I've checked all connections and all is solid. -Rear Camera Night mode isn't the best. [You'd think the rear camera would have a good image sensor similar to the front] -G-shock sensor while driving is pretty pointless, anytime i hit rail road tracks or rutty dirt roads, it's constantly locking video. Just turn it off unless you drive on perfect roads. For what it is, It's an amazing product. This upgrade is worth it to me.

Great for a mirror attached....
great dash cam for a mirrored version. fairly easy install. had to use the straps to go over existing mirror, not ideal, because the OEM mount they offer doesn't work with my mirror attachment set up (friggin Ford) but other wise its adequate. Wolfbox did send me a free dash mount option to use but I haven't tried that. as for the video quality it is excellent.

Great company with great customer service, even though I had a faulty unit
For the price you would think this would also include the extra features that the 850 has like all the lane assist features. It's also acted wonky on me a couple of times where it kept crashing. One thing that should also be included is the factory mount, I'm not sure why that's an extra $30 when that should come standard as an option. Update: Turns out I had a faulty unit. They made it right and they have great customer service. I still believe the bracket should be standard with these kits but that’s just my opinion. When the mirror wasn’t experiencing issues it was a great experience. It felt like I was driving a newer truck which is what I hope is the experience for people who don’t have faulty units. If non faulty units operate like that the entire time, they are totally worth the money. You get a cool digital rear view camera if you place it right, and you get a dash cam at the same time. I also expressed to them how the G900 should come with the features the G850 does, like the blind spot detection etc. The G850 is cheaper and does these things, while the G900 is more expensive and these options aren’t available so just keep that in mind when deciding which one to choose. Had I been more careful I would have initially bought the G850 instead.

Not retaining rear camera zoom level through power cycles is a major pain!
I installed the G900 Pro in my 2019 Mustang a couple of weeks ago, and despite really wanting to like it, I likely won’t keep it. The build quality is good, and so is the video quality. It’s in its function as a rear-view mirror where it falls short. The reflective view through the mirror is flat and undistorted. It is about the brightness of a regular mirror in the dimming position so while it’s perfect for nighttime use, it’s not so great during the day. I find that the camera view, even on the dimmest setting, is just a tad too bright for nighttime use. During the day, the camera view at the brightest setting is better than the reflective view, in my opinion. The problem with this is that the default zoom level of the rear camera is far too low, however, if you adjust it to a usable zoom level, that setting is lost with the next ignition cycle. This to me is extremely frustrating, and I cannot understand the logic. I honestly cannot think of a single situation where I would want to *temporarily* zoom in my rear mirror view, and I’m certainly not going to be sitting there swiping my rear view mirror to get a proper zoom level every time I start my vehicle. For this reason, I’ve been just using the too-dim reflective view during the day, which I’m not going to deal with for long. I’m getting to the point where I’m actually looking forward to reinstalling my stock mirror. There are a couple of other issues that are not deal-breakers for me, but worth mentioning: If your car has auto-dimming side mirrors, you will likely lose that functionality. If it’s like my car, the sensors that control the dimming are located in the stock rear-view mirror. This device also tends to spontaneously change views while I’m driving and using the camera view. Sometimes I look up and see that it’s switched to the split front / rear view or the front view. I believe that this is due to vibration because it happens more frequently when my music is vibrating the mirror a bit.

Solid rear view camera
I bought this for my truck which had a mirror but has no use for it because it’s blocked by a big metal box. This camera has been amazing for helping me make sure no one is behind me when I back up. My only gripe is that when you’re viewing only the rear camera it cuts off a large chunk of the vertical view. Putting it in split screen mode fixes this. Realistically not much they can do there without making the mirror big ugly and square. I got the hardwire kit and it works well. I wish it had a “real time” parking mode instead of just a time lapse but it’s better than no camera. The video quality is great and the menu is easy to navigate. If this is your first dash cam / car mod and you’re not familiar with installing these the instructions are a bit unclear, but with trial and error you should be able to figure it out.

Excellent rearview camera
Excellent rearview camera and came complete with all required components. If you are ordering cable extensions make sure that you are careful to order the correct one as the connector has changed even though the model is the same.

Great product
Works great for what it’s supposed to. Quality is really good and I can actually see more out of it then from the normal rear view mirror

Good quality but not providing the bracket
The dash cam quality is very good. However it didn’t come with the replacement bracket direct fit to the windshield. I am not able to find the bracket on Amazon or anywhere else.

Excelente cámara
Hasta ahora todo excelente, el único detalle que cuando llueve no se distingue mucho la cámara trasera, pero todo lo demás es excelente.
