SwitchBot Thermometer, Temperature and Humidity Meter with Date and Time, Outdoor Sensor Required for Weather Stations Function, Free Data Storage Export

Excellent upgrade to the meter plus that I was moving to a new location. Nice clear main temperature display, and although I only got the display, it was very easy for it to assign one of my outdoor sensors to display on the bottom line. In fact it seem to provide the option to replace the main temperature display with another sensor too. (I do have two hubs for coverage which is how they are all connected together) One downside over the meter plus was they'd dropped the magnetic mounting option, so I can't easily stick this on the kitchen fridge, something to bear in mind if upgrading from the meter plus. It does have a small weather forecast symbol in the top left corner, but it's so small, it's only useful if the display is next to you. Finally the time and date are displayed in the small text in the top middle and left, though the date is stuck in American format (mm/dd) with no apparent way to make it into a normal format (dd/mm). It appears to have a speaker on board for alarms, something I have only briefly tested. Finally for the Homeassistant users out there, the on board sensors are available for use within Homeassistant, but no display configurability at the time of writing is possible.

Switchbot Meter pro. I find this a very useful product for two main reasons. 1) The size and clarity of the display make it very readable to older eyes. 2) The ability to have multiple temperature readings is something I need. Ideally having more than two sets of temperature readings would be even better. I'm a fan of the SwitchBot meter products of different generations and capabilities. They are reasonably priced and frequently discounted or on special offer for a bundle. My SwitchBot products work really well in my smart home and are generally more reliable than my other similar products from other manufacturers and seem to have a very good battery life which makes them an easy recommendation.

Comes with 2 AA batteries and paired with Switchbot app withing minutes. Easy to add a Indoor/Outdoor Thermo-Hygrometer to place outside for outdoor readings

Fantastic thermometer that easily integrates to the SwitchBot ecosystem and further to Amazon Alexa and Home Assistant. I use this in my kitchen and have it linked to one of the outdoor thermometers so that I can see the temperature outside at a glance without needing to open the app. As always, easy to set up and amazing the amount of information you can get from these. Highly recommended.

Great bit of kit, I’m using it to monitor my loft for humidity and controlling a fan dependent on the levels with Home Assistant. The display is very clear and easy to read, and alarms can be set in the app to warn you when a threshold is met or exceeded. Can’t fault it for the price .

My wife is elderly with medical issues, have one in each room to ensure the temp does not fall below 19 degrees as she can not feel the cold and needs to be able the see the temp, in order for it to be adjusted. Also have units in outside sheds were tools are kept to ensure the temp does not fall below zero, heaters automatically switch on. Everything being checked via my phone app.

Very easy to set up and use. Does exactly what it says.

I live in a studio and got this on discount. It works amazingly Comes in a really nice package and everything screams premium. The sensor work right out of the box, no need to calibrate. Some tips I will give you: Buy an outdoor meter also from switchbot. You can find them for 10 bucks when on discount and they incorporate seamlessly with this meter. Get magnetic strips to hand it in the wall. No drilling and looks amazing. If you want to move it to a different position just paste other magnets on other walls or stand it over the desk. Sadly the weather function won't work if you don't have a HUD. Even if you connect it to the app and set up the location. This is not clearly stated anywhere but I tried everything, it's implicitly said in the instructions as "If your home location is inaccessible, OR if your hub device is offline, there may be no weather forecast icons displayed on your panel" It will simply not work if you don't have a hub. Other than that this work perfectly, so good that if I had a bigger house, I would buy a hub. Everything is so easy to set up

Die Einrichtung war in wenigen Minuten erledigt. Das 3,6"-Display ist angenehm groß und zeigt Temperatur, Luftfeuchtigkeit, Uhrzeit/Datum, eine Komfortanzeige sowie eine einfache Wettertendenz auf einen Blick. Die Messwerte reagieren flott und sind präzise. In der App lassen sich für Temperatur und rF sogar Offsets hinterlegen, falls man kalibrieren muss. Praktisch finde ich die Verlaufsansicht mit CSV-Export, um Lüften oder Heizprofile besser abzustimmen. Mit dem SwitchBot Hub kommen dann Remotezugriff, Push-Alarme und Automationen dazu, z. B. Luftbefeuchter einschalten, wenn die Luftfeuchte unter 40 % fällt, oder eine Benachrichtigung senden, wenn im Keller > 60 % erreicht werden. Die Batterielaufzeit ist bislang unauffällig gut, und dank Stand bzw. Wandaufhängung passt das Gerät flexibel in verschiedene Räume. Ich habe einfach doppelseitiges Klebeband verwendet anstatt zu bohren. Hält bombenfest und ich kann es direkt an der Wand ablesen. Ich nutze den Meter Pro zusätzlich mit Home Assistant und bin dank der SwitchBot-Integration sehr zufrieden: Die Werte werden stabil übernommen und lassen sich ohne Umwege in Szenen und Dashboards einbinden. Wichtig zu wissen: Ohne Hub bleibt es eine sehr gute lokale Lösung per Bluetooth; die angezeigte Wettertendenz ist eher eine Komfortfunktion. Fazit: Eine kompakte, zuverlässige Innenraum Temperaturüberwachung mit einer guten App und starker Smart-Home-Anbindung haben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wer die vollen Funktionen nutzen will, sollte Hub und (bei Bedarf) Außensensor direkt mit einplanen, die Einbindung in Home Assistant klappt hervorragend.
