Excellent Sound Quality in a Compact, Plug-and-Play DAC Adapter
Iโve been using the JCALLY JM6 Pro USB-C to 3.5mm DAC adapter with my phone, and it has been a great upgrade over standard headphone jack adapters. The sound quality is noticeably clearer, with better separation, improved detail, and a cleaner overall output. Volume output is strong enough to drive a wide range of headphones comfortably without distortion. Iโve also noticed better control in both bass and highs, making music and podcasts sound more balanced compared to basic dongles. The adapter is very compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to carry around daily without adding bulk. It also works seamlessly with plug-and-play functionality on both Android and newer iPhone models, with no setup required. Build quality feels solid for its size, and it has held up well during regular use. Overall, this is a reliable and affordable DAC adapter that significantly improves mobile audio quality. Itโs a great choice for anyone looking to get better sound from their phone without carrying a separate amp.

Tiny DAC/Amp with Plenty of Power, but Not Perfect for Sensitive IEMs
I bought the JCALLY JM6 Pro because I wanted to keep using my 3.5mm wired IEMs and headphones with a USB-C phone, but I wanted something a little better than a basic passive-looking dongle. My expectations were pretty simple: clean sound, enough volume, microphone support, and a small size that wouldnโt make my phone setup annoying to carry around. Overall, it met most of those expectations. The biggest advantage for me is the extra driving power. The combination of the CX31993 DAC and MAX97220 amplifier gives this little adapter more headroom than many basic USB-C audio adapters. With regular IEMs and portable headphones, I get plenty of volume without needing a separate battery-powered amp. Music sounds clean and controlled, and I donโt notice the JM6 Pro dramatically changing the tuning of my earphones, which is exactly what I want from a DAC. Itโs also genuinely portable. The metal ends and braided cable feel better than the cheapest adapters Iโve used, and thereโs no app, charging, or complicated setup involved. I can plug it into my phone, tablet, or computer and use my regular 3.5mm headphones. CTIA headset microphone passthrough is another useful feature for calls or gaming. There is one important downside: with very sensitive IEMs, some users report a faint hiss or elevated noise floor, particularly during quiet sections or between tracks. Iโd keep that in mind if I mainly use extremely sensitive low-impedance earphones. The short cable is also permanently attached, so if it eventually develops a bad connection, the whole adapter has to be replaced. Microphone performance can also depend on the headset, and I wouldnโt buy this specifically to improve mic quality. **Pros:** strong output for the size, clean sound, very compact, supports headset microphones, braided cable, no battery required, and good value. **Cons:** possible hiss with sensitive IEMs, non-replaceable cable, microphone performance isnโt necessarily improved, and harder-to-drive full-size headphones may still need a stronger amp. For the money, I think the JM6 Pro makes the most sense if I want a small USB-C adapter with noticeably more power than a basic dongle. Itโs a practical choice for wired IEMs, music, gaming, and everyday mobile listening, as long as my earphones arenโt especially sensitive to background noise.

sounds good, works great, best for iem or very efficient headphones
It does exactly what it's supposed to do! I bought this to drive a set of iem based on Crinacle and other reviews, and it works great. For larger dynamic headphones like Sennheiser HD280 Pro, I found it didn't have enough headroom to handle bass transients and could hear the amplifier chip running out of steam. See my review of the Jcally JM20 Max. For low volume listening it worked great. These Jcally dac/amp dongles are small enough that they need basically no additional space, I just leave the iem cables plugged in. For Apple hardware - iPhone 16 Pro, MacBook Air M1, MacBook Pro 16" 2021, and 1st gen iPad Pro 11" which I tested them with, the OS immediately finds the output device and all controls work as expected. The Apple Music "eq" settings also work, I wish Apple would realize there are some people who want a parametric eq and know how to use it. I had to use this for the output of a Surface (unknown model) during a Zoom meeting and it also found the JM6 without any issues. The cable is flexible, roughly the same as the iem cable itself. We will see how durable it is. These will not get heavy use - just for the times when I want to listen to music without Transparency mode on the AirPods Pro. The iem all sound better than the AirPods, but perform double duty as hearing protection, so the use case for me is limited.

Best for the Price!
Perfect cable for turning my usb-c into an aux cord. No static or other audio problems. Cheap and reliable. Recommended by Crinacle for a reason. Fits in my pocket and allowed me to use a plug in backup method for my headphones perfectly on flights or when my headphones were just dead. Great product.

Decent sound, but connection issues ruin the experience
The JCALLY JM6 Pro USB-C to 3.5mm DAC adapter delivers good sound quality for the price. The dual DAC setup provides clear audio with good detail, and it does a nice job driving my IEMs. Music sounds clean, and overall audio performance meets my expectations. Unfortunately, Iโve experienced a frustrating issue when using it with my iPhone. Any abrupt movement of the phone or cable often causes the song to skip, pause, or even activate Siri unexpectedly. This happens frequently enough that it becomes a distraction while listening to music, podcasts, or videos. I purchased this adapter primarily for portable use, so reliability is just as important as sound quality. While the audio performance itself is good, the constant interruptions take away from the listening experience. If the connection were more stable, I would rate this much higher. As it stands, Iโll probably end up returning it because the playback interruptions are too annoying to overlook.

Cheap but good
I use these way more than I was expecting to. These are great and convenient for listening to online content like videos, podcasts, etc. For serious music listening I would say they're pretty good as well. With my more sensitive earphones I can hear a tiny bit of underlying hiss but it's very easy to ignore and completely goes away when listening to any music. For less demanding headphones it can drive them pretty loud as well.

Sounds good
The sound quality is excellent, especially for iemโs. Good soundstage kind of warm sound, which is what I like, very detailed. Had to remove a star because if you move around a lot like I do, it occasionally slightly disconnects from my phone and will completely stop whatever music Iโm listening to. Other than the connection itโs a pretty good dongle dac.

Allows me to connect headphones to my USB switch
I recently bought the Sennheiser HD 560S and needed a way to use them for my work laptop and PC without constantly unplugging and replugging them. I have a USB-A switch for my other peripherals, so I did some research and found this 3.5mm to USB-C adapter. I am using this combined with another adapter (USB-C to USB-A) and I can now use my USB-A switch to easily switch my HD 560S between work and personal use. It works perfectly and I have not encountered any issues with hissing or low volume levels. I can gladly recommend this to anyone else with the same use-case as me.

Highly recommended for budget/beginner uses.
Bought these along with Zero: Blue 2โs - for PC gaming/discord/youtube/music. First time using IEMs and this dac was recommended many times through reddit posts. Works as intended. Delivered quickly to Aus.

Small but Mighty
Surprisingly powerful, and never randomly loses connection unlike my full sized dongles. I wish this existed 5 years ago.
