I see 2 dual line inputs. Does that mean it supports 4 channels at a time (e.g. a 3.1) or is only one line input pair active at a time (2 chan only)?

We hooked up to our record player. Sound really low on speakers. Do we need to have an amplifer to mske sound louder?
