I really like this series, I'm in my 30s so it's not just for kids. Bits include immature jokes and humour but they deal with serious issues but I think in balanced way. You just have to watch it and enjoy the story, I think you can get interested in the characters and feel for them. There are scenes that can make you cry a little with how sad or touching they are. This is certainly a series if you like a fantasy setting with bending being a lot like magic. I would certainly recommend this to anyone, I'm trying to get my brothers kids to watch this and give it a go instead of the popular junk they watch on YouTube. One warning about the Amazon Prime video version, the animation quality doesn't seem very good early on though it gets a bit better. I watched that in 2015 so maybe they've fixed it. I just watched this on the Blu-ray version I brought last year, that has fine animation quality, at least for the age of series :).

Best show ever, I will fight you over that... or blow some air in your face and call myself an airbender, one or the other! Joking aside, the character arcs in this are among the best I’ve seen, the humour is 100% on point along with the emotion and storyline throughout. I can’t praise the series enough and no it’s not just for kids! I look forward to working through all the extras when I get a chance, I don’t doubt I’ll love them as much as the actual series itself. Still annoyed at Shyamalan for his film (and always will be) so don’t let that abomination of an adaptation taint your view of the series - these are well thought out episodes, drawn beautifully and the relationships between characters so perfect you’ll be forgiven for wanting to be part of their story... I love it so much and delighted it’s available on Blu-Ray.

Avatar is an amazing series and having bought the DVD version in the past, I wanted to upgrade to the Bluray copy. As expected, the image quality is much improved and has all the other benefits which Bluray discs bring. I only have two minor complaints: 1) The discs aren't different colours based on each book, making it difficult to tell at a glance which disc is which 2) Instead of 3 separate DVD cases, they are now in 1 cheap, flimsy box. The box doesn't like to close properly, and I can't tell whether the bit which holds the discs is meant to be separated from the box (which seemed odd) or was broken on my copy. In the end, I swapped my Bluray discs into the DVD case, so I get the best of both worlds. If I could mark this as 4.5 stars then I think that would be a fairer score

The last airbender (not the movie!) is truly a feat in serialised storytelling. A beautifully animated adventure which has terrific character development across the board - Aang, Sokka, Katara, Toph, and Zuko. Each character is three-dimensional, unlike some other animated shows in which the main character is great but others are merely wooden archetypes, TLA gives plenty screentime to all of them. With a three-season-long over-arching narrative interwoven with individual season and episode storylines and big bads, I cannot recommend this highly enough. The animation is also something really special, and if you like anime then this will be right up your street. I really hope the new live-action series (helmed by the creators this time) is as good as this.

This review is for the overall piece, I cannot compliment Avatar: The Last Airbender enough, it is one of THEE greatest pieces of media ever created and I can't compliment it more! My problem comes with the packaging. On a whole the Blu-Ray release box is just cheaply put together with stacked discs and no care and consideration gone into things. I guess all in all I'm in it for the show so I'm still giving it a great review but knocking off a star for the packaging. All in all, delighted with the purchase.

WATCH IT! No matter who you are, how old you are, or what you think of cartoons, anime, kid or adult stuff. This has something for everyone and is worth watching!!! You don't need me to tell you how amazing this is if you're already a fan, and if you're curious in the slightest, get it!!! As a gift for someone else or yourself, but watch it!!! Watch at least a few episodes and slip into it. It starts great but gets even greater. I promise it'll stay with you for life! Technically, yeh its a bluray of a pre-bluray show, right? So, looks as good as it gets for what it is and is still in 4:3 but who cares? Its Avatar!!!

Un peu par hasard en des temps lointain, le fan de manga que je suis a un jour découvert le garçon dans l'iceberg (premier épisode de cette série). De facture techniquement moyenne, j'ai quand même regardé la suite parce que l'histoire était intrigante et très bien écrite. Il n'a pas fallu plus de 3 épisodes pour me happer et ne plus jamais me lâcher. Cette série est devenu depuis une de mes préférées. Je l'ai fait découvrir à ma femme, à mes enfants et on la regarde intégralement régulièrement depuis. La facture technique s'est rapidement améliorée et puis finalement, l'histoire est tellement prenante donc on s'en fiche un peu. Cette histoire est une des plus belles, les mieux écrites que j'ai pu voir. Facile à comprendre pour des enfants, amusante pour les ados, abordant des sujets durs accessible aux adultes. La série a été diffusée sur 4 ans, elle a l'intelligence de grandir avec son audience. Les plus jeunes fans de la première heure ont pu grandir avec les héros, murir avec eux. Seul Harry Potter y est parvenu. Tout est bon dans cette série. Absolument tout. Ses personnages sont tous, sans exception, attachant même les méchants. La culture qui imprègne Avatar est asiatique, inuite, très exotique pour une audience occidentale. On découvre des us et coutumes autre, une philosophie touchante. Je recommande Avatar - le dernier maître de l'Air. C'est une petite merveille.

I really liked the seed it was delivered although it was shipped from different EU country. Packaging is rich. 9 Blue Ray discs + 3 postcard size carts with artwork. For this price I totally recommend. I in my 30-es can say this is kind of carton I would give to my future kids to watch. It broadens mind of a kid, and teaches them a lot.

Ich liebe es! Ich habe die Box gekauft, weil die Serie die Legende von Aang auf Netflix bald verschwindet und platz für das Remake machen muss. Zum Äusseren: Ich glaube ,das der Transport von der USA nach Deutchland die Box etwas mitgenommen hat, denn es sind die üblichen Gebauchsspuren an den Ecken und die Art-Karten haben ein paar druckstellen an den Ecken. Zum Inhalt Die Art-Karten sehen grob gesagt so aus: Zum bsp.: Buch zwei Vorderseite: Sokka, Suki , Aang im Avatarzustand, Toph, Zuko und Katara Hintergrund: Wüste Rückseite: Ba sing Se (ziemlich schön muss ich sagen) und so ist es auch auf den Karten Buch 1 und Buch 3. Mit in der Box gibt es natürlich 9 Cd's. Die lassen sich ganz normal abspielen. Nicht zu vergessen sind die Folgen auf Englisch, man kann nicht auf Deutsch stellen! Ich finde es schade das es die Staffel nicht in Deutsch auf BLU-RAY gibt, aber so oft wie ich die Staffeln angeschaut habe, geht es auch ohne :D Zum Preis: Hört sich auf den ersten mal teuer an, aber es sind ALLE staffeln in der Box, 3 Art-Karten und es ist auf BLU-RAY. Nicht zu vergessen ist das ein Import aus den USA, also hat die Box schon seine reise gemacht und ich bezweifle das es günstig war und schließlich möchte der Verkäufer in Deutschland auch was verdienen.
