Great Umami Flavor with a Taste of Germany. Great for Many Dishes.
Years ago, we lived in Germany, and we discovered Maggi. It's a flavor that I associate with German potato salad and great soups with the depth of flavor Maggi provides. It is smokier and richer than soy sauce, but with a strong umami kick to it. A little goes a long way. I made matzo ball soup and added just a bit of Maggi and it elevated it so much. This is my daughter's favorite soup now.

A must in our house
I grew up on Maggi. The taste is so amazing on rice and noodles. I cook with it as an addition like adding a beef broth. Please don’t buy the generic Maggi from the stores. This is the authentic brand Wurtz. I use to be able to buy it at a German market, but they closed down. So I’m very thankful Amazon carries it. I’m a customer for life.

I love this stuff! I add it to vegetables, rice, potatoes, noodles...You name it. The product comes well packaged, and no leaks. The price is a little much, but the Maggi with the red cap is made in Germany or Austria and is the authentic brand. The one with the yellow cap is made in China, so be sure to buy the red capped one.
