It's a flavor that I associate with German potato salad and great soups with the depth of flavor Maggi provides. It is smokier and richer than soy sauce, but with a strong umami kick to it. A little goes a long way. I made matzo ball soup and added just a bit of Maggi and it elevated it so much. This is my daughter's favorite soup now.
Review: A must in our house - I grew up on Maggi. The taste is so amazing on rice and noodles. I cook with it as an addition like adding a beef broth. Please don’t buy the generic Maggi from the stores. This is the authentic brand Wurtz. I use to be able to buy it at a German market, but they closed down. So I’m very thankful desertcart carries it.
