This particular cable is a flexible one that is intended to be for connection, witha suitable mains plug to an outdoor appliance/light that is portable or transportable. Anyway, per the current UK Wiring Regs, installations of new fixed cables and installation equipment must be done by a qualified electrician, and that person will be able to specify the correct cables (etc.) for your application. **Q: Will this be ok for extending a water feature pump** A: I have installed outside lights and a small water fountain with this product without any problems. If you are making a connection outside ensure you use a water tight flange fitting also found on Amazon. **Q: What is the external diameter?
