Seabond Denture Fixative Seals, Soft Adhesive Cushion, Last All Day & Protect Gums, 15 Lowers

Great product

Did not work very well for what i needed on my bottom dentures. But thats not to say they would not work for anyone else.

Seabond Denture Fixative Seals have made wearing dentures much more comfortable for me. The soft adhesive cushion provides a secure seal that lasts all day without needing frequent reapplication. I appreciate how it protects my gums while keeping the dentures firmly in place, which is essential for eating and speaking confidently. The application is straightforward, and the adhesive doesn’t have an unpleasant taste or smell like some others I’ve tried. It’s also gentle on my gums, which tend to be sensitive. Since using Seabond, I’ve felt less irritation and much more stability throughout the day. I highly recommend these denture fixative seals to anyone looking for a dependable, long-lasting, and comfortable adhesive solution.

I bought these to try because I was getting pretty sick of the adhesive paste I normally use. As most people know, 'Denture Paste' oozes where you don't want it, and it is awful to remove from your mouth after taking out your Denture...it sticks to your mouth better than when you're actually wearing your Denture! However, 'Denture Paste' does work better than these Fixative Seals! The Seals need trimming to size & shape before use, and getting them cut to fit is a fiddly nightmare! And after all that trouble they don't even hold your Denture in place!?? Now I bought some Upper Seals at the same time and they are much better. They are easier to fit to your Denture and hold much better than the Lower Seals. So, I am now using 'Upper Seals' on my Upper Denture, and Adhesive Paste on my Lower Denture.

A shame. It held the denture (lower) in place and felt comfortable for a couple of hours - till the first meal - then it gave up, the surface was full with tiny scrumbles of food and when removing it from the denture it has long disgusting glue fibers hanging and stretching, it was like the monster in Alien when salivating. Still I would continue using but it caused a weird numbness on the lower part of my mouth, it was as if I had god dental anesthesic shots. I tried to check but it has no zink however it has some kind of copper-compoud - copper sensitity? I found nothing on the internet, if anyone had similar effect, please share the info. I struggle a lot to find a working and healthy enough solution for the denture. Thank you.

I have to admit that it was in total frustration that I searched the web (again!) for a long-lasting way of keeping my lower denture in place. I have tried many of the ones that claimed to "last all day" but, in all cases, this was never the case - and I don't think that it was that I have a very strangely shaped mouth either!!!! So, with respect to this product, apart from a little "practise" needed when cutting the seal to completely fit the denture (in my case, I had to try twice but only on my very first attempt!), I can honestly say that it's a "completely different world" with these seals. The comfort has increased when biting (due to a cushining effect of the seal) and, with respect to it's lasting time, I can confirm that it has increase considerably - almost to the point that I would say that, after a 14 hour day, one is (almost) tempted to leave the denture in as it had NOT moved in any way. Maybe I have been lucky with this product but, in all seriousness, even though I'm not being paid for this review, for the very low price of this product, I would most definitely recommend that you try it. I don't think that you will be disappointed although, just remember, that the initial "shaping" of the seal could be a little tricky the first time around!!!
