A lot of work, but it was the only solution for my string light bases.

The lightbulbs were very, very dim, barely even lit at all. The photo shows a bulb originally from the string of lights and how bright it is compared to this replacement bulb that only has a little dim dot of light.

I had a bunch of 2.5V bulbs burn out in my many light chains and these bulbs came in as a good replacement.

I got these 2.5v white mini-lights because I have a lot of Christmas display elements. Most of them either are or have been converted to LEDs, but many of them do still use incandescent lights. One set of candy canes has a bad habit of undergoing cascade failure: on light burns out which puts a strain on the others, so another fails, and so on until all the lights are blown. This is just the nature of the beast. This set of 120 lights could still have this issue but at this voltage three are usually enough bulbs in a string that it’s not an issue. These new bulbs already have a longer life than my old ones. The price at the time of this review is only $6 which is a very good price for this many bulbs.

Great replacement bulbs, excellent price. Super bright, color matches all the existing lights. These were easy to install and fit perfectly.
