I wish I'd known about these sooner! The seal is perfect – no leaks. The grip detailing and quality/durability is better than the competition like Hozelock and others. I'm increasingly gravitating towards Gardena as I find their quality superior across the board. But the best thing is being able to attach and detach hose tools without needing to turn the water off first. This saves time and avoids you getting soaked if, like me, you occasionally forget! It's a simple tool, but well worth getting. To attach a tool, you just push it onto the stop. To detach, you pull back on the connector, which has a spring in it, and then pull the tool out. It's nice and snug, but not too tight. It's very well designed, really. One thing to bear in mind – once you get used to this, you may forget to turn the tap off. If you have quality connectors like these everywhere, that may be fine. If, like most people, your hose or connectors leak a bit, you may find yourself wasting water. So watch out. But definitely buy this!

I bought two of these to replace failed hozelock quick-connect fittings, and these seem to hold up better than those ones. These feel of much higher quality, and does not come undone like the hozelock sometimes does from pressure fluctuations (was a major source of gripe with the pressure washer). These fit well with both metal and plastic male connectors, with no leak whatsoever so far. I will update this review as I use this product fairly regularly, if any of this changes.

Gardena stuff is brilliant. Solidly made and just works. Easy to fit and no leaks. Being a slightly softer plastic than the yellow brand, it's far less likely to shatter or split.

Only put this on a hose reel last summer 2024, disconnected for winter and already leaking! Very annoyed

Zeer betrouwbare slang-aansluiting. Werkt heel prettig en soepel. Dat merk je vooral als de waterdruk er vol op staat. Koppelen en ontkoppelen is onder alle omstandigheden erg eenvoudig.

I just wrote a review for another manufacturer of this type of connector. I'd RATHER HAVE THIS KIND. The issue is that the size of hose this will accommodate must not be a standard US garden hose. The one that is 3/4 rated is what actually works on 5/8 US hose. Why isn't this universal? How easy would that be? Same fitting with 2 different collar adapters to slide over the tangs that bind the hose is the answer. Just coming with 2 different adapter rings for the pinch point at the rear of the screwed section is what I think will make this universal. One screw adapter fits all and pinch rings that even could be made to click over the tangs for an easy start.
