We were able to get everything squeaky clean with our hot water spigot outside the garage! The sugar just melts off the sides and came off the clips and mesh as well! With the extras and being frustrated, I had it in my head to just throw this one out- but not once I saw how easy it was to clean!!The clips are very nice and I can think of many other uses for them when not making cotton candy- which is most of the time! It's a treat and will prob mostly come out at holidays and the occ sugar craving!🀣😘I think they are fine and the mesh did fit nicely-so I hesitate to go down a star since it could be user error🫣🀣... but then thought about how much built up on the mesh and I couldn't get it to easily pick up on my cone! Did much better just getting that initial floss and winding it up as fast as possible to keep it in control!! Again though- user learning curve so sticking with 4 stars which for me means it is good- does what it says it will and is not damaged... takes some real special touches and attention to detail to get 5 from me.. or an insane price for things that really don't vary much! Anyway that's to say yes- recommend!Gonna have to watch more how to videos and practice more before the holidays!I would even bump the hot base when I'd hit a clip and that is not good as this sugar melts FAST!! Up until this point, I've been noticing something like a shelf building up on the machine as I use it--a shelf of candy. It's not a good thing. It's basically the sugar that gets left behind burning up. And swirling the candy floss onto the cone has been a mess. But between watching videos about how to swirl the candy floss and adding this mesh screen, things seem to have gotten a lot better and I can better swirl the cotton candy into more attractive looking cones. The "shelf" has been all but eliminated, and the whole thing is just as easy to clean as it was before, maybe even a little easier.
