Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 - PlayStation 2

I'm not sure why, but this is one of the most addicting games ever made. I think it's the strange presentation and progression of your quest, along with the simple, straightforward gameplay. The cutscenes can be pretty weird, I don't know any other way to say it than this game is VERY Japanese. The translations are all pretty off, but it gives the game a unique character. The races are typically one on one battles through the highways of Japan, with occasional boss races that can sometimes hold multiple opponents either at once or in a chain for an added challenge. The car customization is pretty good, as are the driving physics. This game allows you to tune pretty much every aspect of your car, allowing you to tune for grip or drifting depending on your racing style. While there's certainly not a Gran Turismo amount of cars, there are more than you would expect, and most of them are pretty cool and are rarely seen in racing games, such as the DeTomaso Pantera. Some people complain about the music, but I really like it. It WILL get stuck in your head. The main problem is the lack of variety. If you enthuse over Japanese cars, and dream of ripping up Wangan in a GT-R, then you need to play this.

Got exactly what i wanted and a bit more, once out of the packaging for mailing it did have a celaphane like wrapping on the outside just like a brand spanking new one so i greatly appreciate even though it is " like new " never the less the game itself is in beautiful condition let alone the case and the manual. For being " like new " pretty close as you can get instead of buying a " New " one, greatly appreciate being able to play a game from my earlier days.

I really like this game so far.. its pretty fun and feels like Wangan Midnight.. I do think however we could have more garage space like 10 instead of 5 but that more minor than anything. The game has a good selection of cars albeit no honda. The handling physics are good although I feel like the cars are just alittle too bulky. I can see myself playing this consistently for the next couple months, ohh and the customization is B+ at most.

The game is good for the money. And it is an absolute copy of Fast & Furious games. The customization is a big wow. The graphics are great. The location of racing is boring after 2 hours of play. You only drive on the freeway. Didn't have to much fun since the price for customization features weren't worth it and you need to do alot of races and missions to get that money to get mods for your car. As an alternative, I recommend getting Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition. You can't go wrong with Midnight Club. If you don't like Midnight Club, then you are not a true racing fan. Bottom Line: Get the game cheap. Don't pay over 15 bucks for this one.

The game can be enjoyed by people who liked other Tokyo Xtreme Racer games, but fans of other racing games might not like it.

Ordered this item and when I received it, it did not work. The center hole that holds that game into the machine was damaged and would not spin freely. He obviously didn’t test it. The game loads up like it’s going to start but never gets past the cut scene. Item was stated “like new” Definitely a lie. Contacted seller and returned item. Seller stated that the item worked and it was buyers remorse. NOT TRUE. HENCE THE REASON I REPURCHASED IT FROM ANOTHER SELLER. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Received less than half of my purchase price. Restocking fee. Pfff. What a joke. He’s just lining it up for the next poor sap who thinks they’re getting a decent game. Guy is making bank off of his “restocking fee”

It works better t the disc was not in as good of shape as specified and it keeps having issues with the soundtrack in the game my ps2 works flawlessly so I know it’s not that

Product was in fantastic condition even tho they rated as good. Really the only thing that was damaged was the book on the corner. Really the disc was in perfect condition. Case was in parred to condition. I was very happy . Very rare game now a days . Completely satisfied and will definitely buy from this vender again.

THERE WAS NOO OTHER GAME LIKE THIS FOR PS2 AND STILLL NOTHING LIKE IT OUT FOR PS3 AS WELL BUT VERY FUN GAME TO PLAY RACE ON THE HIGH WAY DRAG RACE STILL AS WELL GRAPHICS ARE GOOD TO AS WELL CAR DRIVING IS GOOD YOUR ENGINE AND OIL TEMP RAISES AND COOLS DOWN WHEN U RACE PUTS A NICE TWIST WHEN RACING MAKES IT FUN AS WELL

Miss this classic PS2 game, i was trying so hard to find tokyo xtreme racer zero the best on of the series... but this one is also good sup modifications to the first version. the one on dreamcast i dont think did well havent seen it around but then again dreamcast didnt last long. but this is a great buy. not meant to play on an HD tv tho LOL

Disk came in excellent condition. Very happy and will be buying from here again.

Wow, purchased "Tokyo Extreme Racer 3" for ps2 under the "Used - Very Good" and its in fantastic condition. the only negative is theres an inventory number sticker on the back which when removed leaves glue but who cares really. the cover is in good condition, some sticky glue from stickers and smudges. but other than that, no holes or scratches or cracks. Disc is in fantastic condition, 0 scratches, 0 cracks, 0 faults on the top side. popped it into my ps2 slim to play a bit and loads and works perfectly. 0 problems! will buy other ps2 games from seller.

Amazing game, if you want to bring back some good memories I would recommend this game. If you are looking at the drift series I would recommend giving this a try first. Cheap and fast shipping from seller.
