Easy to use and effective
Love this. Easy to put on my kitchenaide mixer. I use it when making sour dough and cookies. I no longer worry about dough getting up into the mixer

Wish it was a little bigger but works well
I like this dough protector when am baking food my flour is not spilling out of bowl when the mixer is spinning it keep it in the mixture and the dough is easy to pull away , easy to clean I just wish it was little bigger

Great attachment.
Absolutely love this addition to my Kitchen Aid. I always have my dough creep up the dough, hook, and get stuck in the handle. This attachment is really easy to add and keeps the dough down where it's supposed to be mixing. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who has this type of KitchenAid. mine is the 6 quart professional 6000 HD.

Works as intended with unexpected issue
The dough shield works well in preventing wet dough from climbing all the way up the dough hook. However, in recipes were the flour or other dry ingredients are added slowly to the wet ingredients while the dough hook is turning, there is a problem. Dry ingredients fall into the upside down shield as you pour them into your batter. I had to stop the machine periodically to dump the flour or other dry ingredients from inside the upside down dough shield. Hope that makes sense. See pictures.

Ease of Attachment and Use
Easy to attach and worked as described. I've had my Kitchenaid Mixer since the 1990s and did not know this was an available attachment. My only suggestion would be to make it out of a non-plastic material. Easy to remove and reattach for cleaning. Keeps the dough in the bowl, where it should be.

Not worth it
Did not fit my KitchenAid stand mixer, even though I use the one for my model there was no way for it to stay on the hook without wobbling so much it wouldnโt fall off. It was just loose.
