Great entry level single speed
I mainly ride MTB, but riding my Mountain bike on the street for exercise and cardio is brutal. The geometry, drive train, suspension, and wide tires soak up a lot of your energy without propelling the bike very far. So I was looking for the lightest and most simple bike I could get that will make me work hard yet easy enough to go as fast as my friends on their road bikes so I can keep up. Again I'm used to MTB so to me this bike is crazy small and lightweight I think it's about 15 lbs which is less than half of my mountain bike and my mountain bike is a bare-bones lightweight hard tail. When I pedal this bike it just goes fast. You definitely feel it on hills or rough pavement because it's got one gear and you're married to it, but the bike's lightweight and low rolling resistance make it completely bearable, and it's good exercise. I saw 2 options offered by 6KU on Amazon this aluminum frame and a steel frame. Both were similar in price but I opted for the lighter bike. I later learned that steel bikes feel smoother as they are dense enough to absorb vibration, but not sure if that's a big deal for me. I'm used to riding bikes with suspension so any road bike I think will ride rough in comparison to what I'm conditioned to. Another thing to adapt to is the rim brakes. I'm used to hydraulic so these rim brakes are very weak sauce. It's been decades since riding a bike with rim brakes so not sure these are typical or just bad. I think it is likely they are just bad because I adjusted mine to bite as hard as possible and they still are weak and the brake levers feel cheap and crunchy. I could probably upgrade them if I end up using this bike every day, but I think the concept is to keep everything bare bones like a track bike. The less mech the better and the less chance of adding weight or mechanical failures to your riding experience. This is being sold primarily as a Fixie and anyone using it that way will likely remove the brakes eventually. So maybe they added the cheap brake as a kind of "training wheels" until you are confident in your fixie mojo. I did attempt running the bike as a Fixie a few times. It's crazy! I can see the appeal, it is fun and adds a new technical discipline to cycling, but it is so counterintuitive to mountain biking that for me it's really difficult to learn this style of riding without sacrificing my intuitions for riding off-road. For example, if you need to hop over a hazard, bump, or jump your normal instinct is to level your pedals to give you the most ground clearance and distribute your weight in the most stable stance possible to absorb any impact using your knees. When I first tried to hop a curb on the fixie I instinctively tried to level my pedals and the crankset nearly launched me off the bike. When you're riding fixed gear you have to actively remind yourself of that fact constantly until it becomes second nature and I'm not sure there's enough reward to me to do so at this point, but the option is there if I change my mind. For now, this is just an awesome single-speed bike. It's a much better bike than you're going to get at Walmart or Target for a much lower price and since there are no gears or additional mechanical elements to complicate it, it is easy to assemble in about 30 minutes. Another plus is, aside from the occasional wash when dirty, it's pretty much maintenance-free.

*Extremely* solid bike for the money.
Absolutely zero regrets except maybe wishing I had bought 2 so I could swap parts/tires between them. My bike showed up absolutely rock solid, straightforward assembly. If you know bikes you know what this aluminum frame is going to feel like on various road surfaces vs a steel frame. It has dual-pivot cantilever brakes (search dual pivot brakes+Park Tool on YT for adjustment instructions) they brake quite adequately and will throw you over the bars if you don't use you front and back brakes together. The brakes are designed to be used together almost all of the time, that way you also get even wear. The rack on my bike is Ibera, fenders are RBRL, pedals are Wellgo, light is Lsan, mirror is West biking, cup holder is Mizzato, Kryptonite cable and Master lock, don't recall the phone holder but it's here on Amazon. All of this except the pink tub is on Amazon. I highly recommend all these products I've put on this bike as they are all mirrored on another bike. Several of these products such as the mirrors and cup holders come in packs of two, which I highly recommend. I have used all of these products hard as I do food delivery on this and the other bike. This bike has held up crazy well, I'm even impressed with the way the tires are holding up. Handlebars are a bit hard on my wrists sometimes but I'm not really used to flat bars. The grips are very grippy and the bike feels very nimble with the flat bars. I find myself doing long swoops in the road when the traffic is clear on this bike. Just a joy to ride and it weighs *nothing* which is nice because I have to carry it up several flights of stairs every day. 10/10 I'd recommend, this bike is plenty fast with this 48/16 gearing and I have no problem sprinting up hills or maintaining speed in traffic. I've rode fixie before and I love it, but with an aluminum frame it feels weird so I prefer to leave it in single speed set up. Seat is surprisingly nice too, except that it's VERY grippy which isn't bad except I set the seat very high on this bike and sometimes things get a bit smashed in my nono zone because my pants get caught on the seat and, well, smash my bits and bobs. Tires are 700x25c Kenda Whatevers, very adequate, just be aware you probably aren't going to get anything over 28c on this bike because of clearance on the rear brake, maybe 30-32c without the rear brake, but the frame is pretty tight. Maybe a few mm more clearance on the front fork. Buy this bike! It paid for itself doing food delivery in 5 days for me.

Very Happy with this Purchase
This is the first single-speed I've owned--I don't ride it fixie--and I'm very happy with this bike. It's incredibly light, put together very well and it's so basic that you can build it up into anything you want or just leave it barebones and have an intensely practical vehicle. The light weight makes it perfect if you bus and bike to get around; you won't have trouble hoisting this up onto the bike rack. Some of my favorite things about this are really basic features, but they're well thought out. For instance, I realize that quick-release front wheels are great for certain scenarios but, when you leave your bike locked up and don't want to take off the wheel every time, it just adds a security complication. This bike doesn't have a quick release front wheel, but it does have a quick release seat, which I prefer for security. It's easier to carry your seat around a store than it is to carry a tire. It can accommodate a rear rack or a set of baskets if you want. I'm happy with the gear ratio: it's not too hard to get going or climb and, when you're cruising, you'll certainly get passed by people on multi-speed bikes, but you'll get going fast enough. It's a single-speed, so the real advantage is efficiency. If it's not efficient enough, you can flip the back wheel around and make it a fixie bike. The bike gives you that option and it only takes a couple of minutes and a wrench to flip the back wheel. This is a very basic, very practical bike. It has good brakes, descent tires, the drive train is super simple and, if you have basic mechanical skills you won't have to bring it to a bike mechanic at all. I got a $30 tool kit and it has everything i need to perform maintenance on this bike. I also installed an adjustable stem so I can sit more upright. I got chain tensioners, as well, which I'd recommend: they'll put you out about $10 and are easy to install and use. You might feel it a bit when you start climbing hills on this bike at first, but it's worth it when you notice that you've gotten fit enough for those challenges to get easier every time you go out. Highly recommended.

Great Bike - Missing Parts
I want to start by saying that this bike is now awesome, but it did not come that way. The bike arrived in perfect packaging, no punctures in the box and it even came a day early! It came with both wheels separated from the frame which I am assuming they changed recently because of shipping issues in the past. Once I got this thing unboxed, I thought it was going to be fairly simple to put together. Little did I know, I would spend the next 2 days trying to get it together. After 2 days, I thought I successfully put the bike together. There were no extra pieces in the box so I attached everything that was shipped with it. It even came with lubricant for the pedals which I used. I was super excited to ride it and I took it outside for the first time. The brakes immediately locked up as I got on it and the rear wheel somehow bent to the frame. At this point I was frustrated and decided to take it to my local bike shop. I could tell the wheels needed to be trued anyway, so I had them do that and a tune up. After I got the bike back and $100 later. They said “We are so thankful you brought this to us, because it was not safe to ride”. They let me know that they had to remove the brakes because the factory installed them way too tight making it to where when you press the brakes, the pads would just stay on the wheels instead of resetting to their original position. It was also missing 2 outer axle nuts on the back wheel to secure it and the stem faceplate was missing a bolt. Once I had the pros look at it, I hopped on the bike and was very happy. I have now put about 75 miles on it and ride it at least 2 times a week. It is a really pretty bike and I like that it came with a flip-flop hub. I ride it with the freewheel. I find that the bike is just a hair to big but I prefer it to be that then to small. I am 5’10” with a 32 inseam and I went with a Large size. After all is said and done, I advise if you are fairly new to biking. Take it to your local bike shop and have them assemble it for you. And then enjoy a beautiful sturdy bike and have some fun. This thing is super light, the seat looks super uncomfortable but it works for me as my average ride is only 3-5 miles.

Reliable Urban Warrior
The 6KU Fixie has proven itself as an exceptional value city bike. After two years, thousands of miles, and even two triathlons, it's still going strong without any issues. The lightweight aluminum frame makes it perfect for city commuting, while the flip-flop hub gives you the flexibility to ride fixed or freewheel. For a budget-friendly bike, the build quality is impressive. The deep V wheels have held up to daily urban abuse, and the included front and rear brakes provide reliable stopping power. Assembly is straightforward with included tools and helpful video guides. If you're looking for an affordable, reliable starter bike that can handle serious use, the 6KU Fixie delivers far beyond its price point. Just make sure to check the size guide carefully before ordering.

Great bike!!!
I bought this bike a little over a month ago and I’m absolutely loving it! This is my first fixed gear/free wheel bike. I know there are lighter bikes out there but man this thing is light. I can pick it up and carry it around with ease if I need too. Even my 90lb son thinks it’s the lightest bike he’s ever picked up. It was super easy to assemble out of the box. The brakes needed some adjustment but after some trial and error, I was able to get them where I like em. No issues the anything breaking, poor fit or bent wheels. I read some reviews about riders having issues where there feet were hitting the wheel if they were pedals while turning, and this concerned me. As this is a problem I was having with my previous bike. Enough so, that I almost didn’t buy it. However, after doing some research, I learned about the overall frame dimensions as opposed to just following the size chart. I am 5’11” and roughly 205lbs. According to the size chart, I should have ordered a medium. Using the frame specs, I chose to go with a large and I’m so glad I did. This bike fits me perfect! I did end up changing out the seat, buying some -$2 valve adapters at Walmart and adding a kickstand though. Overall, this is a great bike for the money and I highly recommend it.

Chain comes off
This bike sucks don’t buy it. It’s super lightweight but the chain comes off at the slightest incline. One of the times it came off it got caught in the pedal and launched me off my bike and I was bruised for 2 weeks after. When you turn the handles too left or too right, the wheel hits against the frame which is so dangerous for turning. I will say that putting the bike together was easy. But still don’t buy it lol

Easy to assemble. Surprisingly lightweight! Large is just right for 32" inseam.
Mine thankfully came with everything. Handlebar bolts were on the bottom of the box. Check there before throwing the box away. Only cons is that the cheap pedals have too much friction and the wheels need truing. They're very wobbly, but not unusable. Bike was super easy to assemble. All you need is common sense and care to not scratch anything. Two people make it way easier. Remove the foams off after putting everything together. Chain comes tangled, but you can straighten it if you're patient. No need to open it, even if it seems that way. Just use a bit of force and it'll straighten easily. Bike rides stiff, but that's the nature of being so light and having thin wheels and tires. DO NOT RUN OVER SPEEDBUMPS OR POTHOLES. You'll puncture the tubes at the least and bend the wheels or break some spokes at the most. Treat these wheels and tires with a lot of care. They're obviously not made with rough play in mind. Oh, you need an adapter to inflate the tires. Thankfully, I had a local bike shop fill them up and sell me an adapter all for $1. I installed the wheels and test rode the bike. They put too little pressure, so I had to inflate the tires more with my own compressor. 110 PSI is the max pressure stated on the tire, but they felt too stiff at that pressure so I went down to 90 and the ride felt much better. Let's see how long this bike lasts. Components look and feel very cheap. Only the frame seems worthy, and even that came with lots of scuffs and scratches. EDIT: I forgot to include the most helpful detail for future buyers: SIZE! Well, I'm 5'8" and some change due to my long legs. I can flat-foot the bike and might have a millimeter or two of clearance at most from the top tube. That top tube will hit you if your inseam is less than 32". Inseam is the key, not height, because some people have short legs and long torsos. I have long legs and short torso. I sit down and some people that are 5'5" are even with me or even taller. Just letting you know. Peace!

Bike was EASY TO ASSEMBLE. Instructions attached aren't the greatest. Just watch the assembly video on manufacturer's website. That's super easy to follow Bike is very LIGHT(main reason for my purchase) LOOKS GREAT (matte finish on rims looks nice) HANDLEBAR GRIPS feels cheap but easy to REPLACE Over time I will also REPLACE PEDALS Tires are equipped with PRESTA VALVES Overall I like this bike and it's fun to ride. Gran bicicleta
