As expected, it tastes like pasta. Gold Harbor is still my favorite brand for taste and texture but since they don’t make their spaghetti anymore, this is very good too.

The best way to prepare this pasta, especially for those having issues with consistency, is by soaking them in water for 20-30 min. I usually put it in a small flat container and soak for several hrs in the refrigerator so it's ready when I want to use it. As long as you cover them in enough water, it'll last for several days. Then I drain the pasta & add a sauce or toppings (like marinated mushrooms). An almond butter or sun-dried tomato sauce compliments this well, but there's many options. You can either leave the container out to warm up before draining or apply very low heat. The pasta has already been lightly dehydrated, so it doesn't need to be re-cooked.

"May contain traces of soy" which means it probably does. Product of China, hopefully it is soy free as the label says. Soy is not a main ingredient, when you see "may contain soy" and "shared equipment" that can be troublesome. This was the only black bean noodle brand that wasn't made mixed with soy beans as a main ingredient.Edit: tried them and they do taste good. The nutritional profile is also amazing.
