I up graded from my usual cameras. The battery does last longer, and the images are clearer. The WiFi receiver is not as strong as other Arlo cameras but I and still satisfied with my purchase.

I don’t love the software or the battery life of the camera. I wish I got a different brand. Customer service took a week to reply when they quote 1-2 business days. Image is nice and it works well In the dark.

I am absolutely impressed with the Arlo Essential Security Camera 2K (2nd Gen)! The camera delivers good quality. Setup was super easy. The 2K video quality is crystal clear, and I love how I can keep an eye on the outdoors without interruption thanks to its weatherproof design. Whether it’s day or night, the color night vision and wide-angle view ensure you don’t miss a thing. It’s also impressive that there’s audio communication, which is especially handy for communicating with delivery drivers or even checking on family when I’m away. And the motion detection with real-time notifications is a game-changer — I feel much more at ease knowing that I’ll be instantly alerted if anything unusual happens in my home. This is important to me as I have a child. Privacy is a big deal to me, and Arlo’s commitment to data encryption reassured me that my video is safe. Plus, the Arlo app is incredibly user-friendly. I can control everything with one touch and watch everything that is happening outside.

The camera works reasonably well, but can miss some events. I've tried different settings for sensitivity including setting up zones. This is not very compatible with the Amazon Echo Show 8 or my Samsung SmartTV. It gives an error when I try to stream video to the display while simultaneously recording it after an event trigger. I don't know if it works better with other smart displays.
