I installed a security surveillance system, I live in great neighborhood in east county San Diego, of late there has been some car break-ins. Recently I had a neighbor lose his entire enclosed trailer with Sand rail inside. Turns out he has cameras, and had a beautiful picture of the dirt bags hooking up to his trailer and driving off. great story right! Wrong security footage was so crappy you could see the license plate but resolution was so bad the plate looked like a white rectangle! So I buy HD 3 Megapixel thermal image, night-vision and hard wired cameras. I op for running cable (over wireless) and play cable monkey all weekend running and routing cable throughout my two story 2500 sq foot home with three car garage, lots of up and down the latter I get the DVR hooked up in my favorite punch-down closet setup for my in house network, and now security camera termination. Only I need to transmit HDMI with HD high resolution back to the master bedroom, which is over a 75 feet from the termination closet. All that HD signal well it needs bandwidth! So I plug these new HDMI extenders into my home network I wait a couple of seconds and it pops up, problem was it needed all the bandwidth via my Cisco switches could handle, no problem I then run a point to point RJ45 cable between the to end point HDMI devices and perfect!
