The metal 'cross' part of the bslt is rather nice actually; the fabric laces however, are just roughly cut, thin strips of fabric that almost resemble scraps, rather than the stitched/ finished laces depicted in the listing. As such, it's extremely tough to get the belt to stay tight, and it loosens/ slips down/ off rather easily. Not impressed, intend to return.

I think the title of this item is extremely misleading, they call it a "rope belt", and while it is difficult to tell from the pictures, there is no rope at all. The fabric that wraps around your waist is simply the same kind of fabric a T-shirt is made from, cut into long strips. It's stretchy cotton, not a rope. It's stretchy cotton, not a rope.Also, important to note, it comes with absolutely no instructions on how to nicely wrap it or tie it. It doesn't want to stay in place, but I'm not sure how much quality to expect for this price. I may literally look for a pretty rope of my own to tie onto the buckle to make it work and look nicer.

I really wanted to like this belt, but it just wasn't what I expected. The straps are made of cheap, rolled jersey, and they tend to clump together and move around in a very uncomplimentary way.The buckle is nice and heavy though, and it's not uncomfortable to wear. It would probably look great on someone with a different build than mine, but it's a no for me.

Bought for my grandson as part of a Nordic costume for renfair. He loves it. Beautiful color and made very well
