Best way to enjoy a filter coffee.

Personally, I love this coffee dripper. In studying the book "The Physics of Filter Coffee" by Jonathan Gagne, I found that this dripper offered me the greatest benefits out of all the others. The glass itself is really nice, sleek and double walled. It doesn't feel cheep at all and is very premium. The entire kits works very well. The maximum brew I think you could get is 12oz and that would be the absolute limit. I brew 23g of coffee at a 1:15 brew ratio with a net result slightly below 12 oz. The will fill the glass caraf fully. I usually use the Fellow move mug (which is awesome by iteself) with this dripper so I rarely need to use the glass caraf. Even with the double walled glass, I do feel the glass gets a bit warm for my preferance when totally full. Overall, the dripper makes great coffee and has a solid build. The ONLY downside, are the filters. They are expensive and statistically, the filters are actually thinner than many other filters.

Masterpiece like all Fellow products

I have tried several pour-over drippers lately and this is my favorite. I am the only coffee drinker at our home so I usually make one cup at a time just for me. The dripper and double wall glass are both well insulated and hold in heat. I use the Fellows Stagg EKG electric pourover kettle so my water is tightly temperature controlled. I prime the metal basket and cup first with some hot water to warm it up. I have found the Kalita Wave 185 filters fit this perfectly. They are a nice alternative to the Fellows filters- exactly the same size and a little more economical. I like the slightly stiffer texture of the Kalita filters too. I noticed some reviews mentioning a hole on the bottom allowing water condensation in between the double wall glass. I don't think it is supposed to be that way. Mine has a sealed dimple in the glass on the bottom, so the double wall is completely sealed. I have washed the glass cup several times in the dishwasher w no prob. I am washing the basket by hand because, while it seems sturdy, the black finish doesn't look too durable. The basket has a nice rubber ring around the bottom that can be removed for cleaning. It sits nicely on top of just about any mug so you can drip directly into your cup instead of the glass cup.

The Stagg has very very quickly become my favorite pour-over dripper. I own a Chemex and a V60 as well and it outperforms both of them 99% of the time. I might perhaps more control with the V60 but the Stagg is so much more consistent that it doesn't matter. The double walled glass makes all the difference in keeping your brew hot all the way through the pour as well. This thing is also REALLY TINY! I love it! I've paired it with a Carter Move and it makes a great portable pour-over kit you can easily throw in a bag with a filter and some preground coffee for work. Call me extra if you want but my work coffee has never been better lol. Great product just like the rest of Fellow's offerings.
