This is my go-to basic rum, lovely to sip neat, excellent mixed with ice and coke. There are more exciting and interesting rums out there - Iโm thinking Pussers Gunpowder proof, Diplomatico, O Haraโs Spiced ( oh my goodness, O Haraโs Spiced rum!), Bumbuโฆ but for a value for money great rum, Appletons is hard to beat. About ยฃ7 cheaper on Amazon than in most supermarkets too.

Get what you pay for.
Awful awful rum. Appleton estate makes good rum and thought I could get a bargain, but you definitely get what you pay for. Pay a little more, get something that doesn't taste like poison.
