Using this lock is awesome. One touch for anyone to lock, and one touch for your specified users to unlock. It pairs with Apple/Siri, and the App is pretty well made/simple to use. I’m considering getting another for my backdoor!

Very disappointed! Purchased 3 of these locks for a new home after having an earlier version of Yale locks at my previous home… they are not the same! The look, easy insulation and fingerprint features are nice, but they certainly don’t make up for the significant negative aspects. First, the battery life is atrocious, what they said of batteries, lasting less than 30 days before you start getting low battery notifications (previously locks were nearly 12 months). The locks also don’t integrate with the myQ system (previous locks did). The auto-lock feature is fairly limited, only allowing you to set the doors to lock based on the delay from when it was last opened (previous locks, through the myQ app, allowed for time based locking, for example, at a set time of the evening to ensure the house was secured for the night). Until Yale fixes their issues with their current version of locks, definitely choose another brand.

I love this product.

I have three locks with keys. The lock looks great and works well with local functionality. It locks on close and unblocks with fingerprints and codes as programmed. Now to the negative: The fingerprint detection success is average. The WIFI module is very weak. I have IoT devices (switches and camaras) located farther beyond or outside the house in proximity of the locks and they connect with a good signal while the Yales' modules lose signal often and fail to connect. The app is an armature-hour piece of software. The users (owners and guests) can each have only one fingerprint and one code for access. Also, you can add users with either code or fingerprint access but not both. To give both types of access to a user which is called App Access, you have to invite them via their phone number or from your contact list. Further, once you add a user with, say code access only, you cannot later modify the user and add a fingerprint access. You have to delete and recreate the user. In addition, and as other reviews mentioned, the batteries life of at most couple of months. My older locks of a different brand with similar functionality without WIFI, the batteries lasted almost 8 months to a year depending on which door/use.

My family has 4 of these now at 4 different properties and they work great. It was important to us to have a single app to rule them all (LOTR reference:) . Installation was easy and straightforward for physical as well as programming. After 6 months, there has been no issues with battery like and expect to replace at least once a year but I suppose that would depend on how often the lock is used. The fingerprint ability is awesome and simply “just works” It was nice while out of town and having friends check on the house to be able to check the door lock and remotely lock if our helpers forgot. I highly recommend and maybe the price is just right. You get a good product when you pay more? Cheers

I bought 3 of these locks a year ago. One lock’s WiFi module has died and it can only be accessed via Bluetooth now. The other two locks are completely fine. I love how convenient it is to get into the house with just my fingerprint and not need to fumble around with keys. I also love the auto lock feature that will automatically lock the door after a set amount of time. I’m usually good about remembering to lock the door behind myself as soon as I get inside but occasionally I do forget, but no big deal because this lock has my back. The lock includes a physical key which is nice as a backup entry method but as someone with 3 of these locks at my house, I really wish there was some way to configure all 3 locks to use the same key. Instead each lock has its own key with no way to rekey it. There is a mobile app that works decently well. It’s nothing fancy but it gets the job done.

Don’t buy it. I have had nothing but issues with this lock since the day we got it. The battery life drains every 2-3 weeks. Most of the time it doesn’t recognise our fingerprints. When I do replace the batteries at a races the code and I have to go and reset the code every time. I’ve called customer service no less than 5 to 6 times over the past six months and they give me a new “solution” to try and we have the same issue and I call back and they say oh next time we’ll replace this lock. But then they give me a another “solution” to try that doesn’t do anything. Pick a different lock for you sanity.

This lock is easy to install and the app works perfectly. So nice to have all the different options to open the door especially being able to send someone a temporary pass.
