works perfectly fine in my windows and macbooks. Can connect easily in my iphone and i can directly save my files from phone to my external drive. transferring of files is swift, it has sleek design and compatible with any laptops.

Really impressed with this little enclosure. Installation took less than a minute—just slide in the SSD and plug it in. My laptop picked it up instantly, and transfer speeds have been excellent. The aluminum body feels sturdy, and the silicone sleeve is a nice bonus for protection. Overall, it’s compact, reliable, and does exactly what I need.

The enclosure is nice–very slim. But the 2-TB SSD in this enclosure, by Silicon Power, failed on its first use. At first, I thought it could not be recovered. However, I discovered that it was due to overheating, not to a defect in the drive. Using AOMEI Partition Assistant, I was able to revive it. It is being used right now to make a clone of my C: (Windows 11) drive.

Great enclosure! There's a horribly small screw on the side that keeps it shut though so I don't recommend putting it back in once you have a drive inside. It just makes it a pain to get apart again. There's a hand screwable M.2 screw inside. Great for formatting disk drives when you want to pull them out of a machine and deal with them through USB. As usual UGreen didn't slack on the looks either, gotta love that aluminum, metal makes this a lot better.

I purchased two of these enclosures on sale for just under $34 total, but unfortunately, they didn’t work as expected. Installation was simple, and I had no trouble formatting both 1TB NVMe drives on my MacBook. However, as soon as I started copying data, issues arose with both enclosures. The drives would randomly disconnect, forcing me to restart the transfer—only for the problem to repeat endlessly. While small data transfers (under 1GB) were successful, anything larger caused consistent failures. I experimented with different file system formats (APFS and exFAT), but the issue persisted with datasets over 1GB. I suspect the problem lies in heat buildup—the small included "heat sink" is insufficient, and the fully enclosed design prevents proper heat dissipation. I had high hopes for an affordable NVMe enclosure solution, but if you're considering purchasing one of these, think twice. It may work for small data transfers, but not for larger sets. In the end, I bought an NVMe drive duplicator (StarTech), and both drives worked flawlessly, confirming that the issue was with the enclosures—not the drives.

My computer crashed. I bought this to see if my NVMe drivd was still good. It was. This saved me from losing lots and lots of files and digital designs I had. Now makes for a great external hard drive

The product description clearly states that this is a tool-less model, but I can clearly see a screw in the housing that I need to remove first! So, in my experience, this isn't tool-less, and I'm also questioning the other specifications. It's a shame, because I've always been very satisfied with Ugreen products, but this one is going back!

L’ho scelto per utilizzare un SSD NVMe esterno e le prestazioni sono ottime: trasferimenti veloci, connessione stabile e nessun surriscaldamento anomalo. La qualità costruttiva è molto buona, il montaggio dell’SSD è semplice e il design è compatto e curato. Perfetto per chi ha bisogno di portare dati sempre con sé o vuole recuperare un vecchio NVMe trasformandolo in un disco esterno. Consigliatissimo!
