This is quite practical
Bought it for my boss. Had some software licenses at work that were due to expire, so I bought this for my bosses desk to keep him aware of the time we had until D-Day. Would frequently ask him in meetings how long we had, and he would send me a picture from his phone of the countdown. That day has past, so he set it for the next deadline he has coming up. What started as a joke has actually become quite useful.

Great Retirement Gift
Got this for one of my coworker who recently just retired. They used it and it was an easy set up and worked perfectly for the 1 year they had it set up for. Would recommend it to anyone in need of a long countdown clock.

Outstanding in every way but one.
I ordered this to give me a little hope when I am having a bad day at work. I am planning to give up the corporate rate race in about two years and live a more simple life without a paycheck. Some days, I don’t think I am going to last that long. So, I got this countdown clock to make it look like I am making some noticeable progress to that end. The size is perfect and the device can either stand on your desk or be mounted on something metal, like your fridge. Unfortunately, the magnets don’t hold well because they are set into the device about a millimeter and that’s just enough to diminish the magnetic hold. The display is simple and easy to read. It’s simple and modern and won’t look out of place no matter what décor surrounds it. Setting it up is intuitive and the instructions are fairly simple. The only thing I don’t like about it is that you can’t enter the date and time of your event and let the device figure out the distance to it. You have to manually enter how far in the future it is. What I did was go online to a web-based countdown timer, enter the time and date of the event online, and then match the device to that online timer. The timer is therefore independent of the device’s own clock so if you are like me and like things to be exact (I mean, what’s the point of a timer if you can’t be exact) and sync it right up to the second, it will take about 5 or 6 tries to match everything up depending on your math skills and finger dexterity. That said, once you set it, you can forget it. It has two large puck batteries and since this timer can only go up to a couple of years, I am confident the batteries will last at least until your first event.

Temper (yet build) anticipation!
I have this countdown clock sitting on my desk, counting down to a trip to Greece. The instructions are fairly simple, but you have to find an online countdown clock to set the initial time; it doesn't have a way of calculating the time between today's date and the date you're counting down to. The timer and clock are separate from each other, so if you want the timer to match with the current time, you have to start the timer at a time that makes them match up. Doing so took me 2 or 3 tries. Once you set it, you can forget it. The back of the clock has magnets, so it can stick to something metal. It also comes with a stand, so you can set it up on a horizontal surface. However, there's no built in way to hold onto the stand if you're using the magnets. Being a small piece of plastic, the stand would be easily misplaced if not in use. Despite these downsides, I gave this 5 stars because the value I'm finding compared to the price is worth it to me. It helps to temper, yet also build, my anticipation in productive ways. After the Greece trip, I'm definitely going to use this to count down to the next big trip or event I'm excited for.

High value counter for low value cost
A friend of mine is retiring soon and I decided to get her a countdown timer. I first looked at the big neon colored LED lighted ones which are quite expensive if they count days to 3 figures or more. I was certainly looking for something which would count more than 99 days. When I came across this I decided (max 999 days) it had all the features I needed for a one time use AND I could hand it over mysteriously and discretely rather than in a huge box. It worked out really well. She LOVED it!! I actually set the countdown myself before handing it over. Sat there trying to figure out how many days, hours, minutes until the end of Jan, subtracted 7 (no one works till midnight on their last day of work ever!) and got Alexa to validate my math. I didn’t even use the instructions, it’s that intuitive. I also set the current time in the left hand corner - equally easy. This thing is simple, small (6x2 inches?). a fun gift for anyone who is counting down to an event whether a pregnancy, kids or adults birthday, Xmas or retirement etc Stick it on a desk (comes with a little stand) or on your fridge (it has magnets on its back). Comes already “on” by virtue of 2 included watch type CR2032 batteries. (I thought this a bit odd considering most such devices have a pull tab these days which needs to be removed to start the batteries functioning). Great value and a fun gift! I hope you found this information helpful 👇

Tiny Timer with Limited Visibility
The Countables Large LCD Digital Countdown Clock is marketed as a versatile tool for tracking long-term events like retirements or vacations, with a capacity of up to 999 days. While the concept of a dedicated long-term timer is useful for event planning, the physical execution of this device falls short of the expectations set by its online presentation. What I liked Simple Setup: The process for setting the timer was not overly complicated or difficult to navigate. Magnetic Mounting: It includes magnets on the back, which is a convenient feature for placement on flat metal surfaces. Fair Pricing: The price point is relatively low, which aligns with the minimal features and small scale of the device. What I disliked Misleading Size: The clock is incredibly small—literally smaller than the image shown on the product listing—making the "Large LCD" claim feel inaccurate. Poor Visibility: There is no brightness adjustment, and the display is barely visible, making it hard to read at a glance. Lack of Time Sync: The device does not sync with the actual time, meaning you have to manually calculate and input the exact duration. Magnetic Limitations: The magnets are not strong or positioned well enough to stick to surfaces with even a slight curve, such as a refrigerator door. Who should buy Someone with very limited space who needs a basic, low-cost countdown for a desk or a perfectly flat magnetic surface. Who should skip Anyone expecting a large, easy-to-read wall or fridge clock. Users who want a display with a backlight or adjustable brightness levels. Star Rating: 2 out of 5 stars This product is a case of literal downsizing; the most striking issue is that the physical unit is smaller than the marketing photos suggest. While it technically functions as a countdown timer and isn't difficult to program, the lack of brightness control and the inability to sync with real-time clocks make it feel outdated and hard to use. Given the visibility issues and the weak performance of the magnets on standard kitchen appliances, it is difficult to justify even at a lower price point.
