I wasn’t ready to buy a full size yet, so I ordered a sample to try it out first. The quality was better than I expected, and the black color looks great in person. It gave me a good idea of how it would look once installed. Now that I’ve tested it, I’m planning to order larger sizes for our upcoming project. Overall, I’m really happy with the sample.

For the price, this is the way to go. The material is easy to cut, but use sharp scissors (and the seller can cut to size if you contact them). Watch YouTube videos for how to install, I used the "tape tabs on each side" method to help pull down the backing as I went, this worked well. The material has a bit of a haze, but I'm OK with it for this location, wouldn't want it on a main window with an important view. When opaque (off), it lets nearly all the same amount of light through (just with privacy), which for my use case is ideal, as I want natural light into the room. But if you're thinking this will help darken, this isn't the product for you. One panel had damage, be sure to inspect before installing. The seller shipped me a replacement panel after I provided them photos, so seller gets 5 stars too.

I installed the smart film on a glass wall and honestly, I’m really impressed. When it’s turned off, it looks like frosted glass — super clean and modern. But as soon as I hit the switch, it goes crystal clear almost instantly. The change is smooth and kind of cool to watch. Installation was fairly straightforward. I’m not super handy, but I followed the instructions and got it working in an afternoon. I did need an extra set of hands to align the film properly on the glass, so keep that in mind. The clarity when it’s on is better than I expected — it doesn’t distort the view, and the light still passes through beautifully. It gives my space a high-end, tech-forward feel without any bulky blinds or curtains. It also blocks visibility perfectly when off, which is ideal during Zoom calls or just when I want some privacy. Only minor downside: you do need access to a nearby power outlet, and hiding the wiring takes a bit of planning if you want a clean look. But overall, this smart film totally transformed my space. Would definitely buy again for other rooms in the house.

I bought this smart film for a small window in my bedroom that faces the neighbor’s house. I didn’t want to put up blinds or curtains because the room is small and I like having as much natural light as possible. This turned out to be the perfect solution. When it's off, the film looks like frosted glass and completely blocks the view in and out. With the remote, I can switch it to clear during the day if I want more sunlight. It’s really cool to see it change instantly. Installation was pretty straightforward. I had a friend help me just to make sure we got it lined up right, and it turned out clean with no bubbles or issues. Customer service was also quick to respond when I had a question about the power supply. It does exactly what I wanted—gives me privacy without making the room feel closed off. Worth the price for the convenience and look.

I received the Film well packaged and everything appears to be in good working order, but the privacy state looks more milky while than black. I was expecting it to look like the images shown in the product listing. See the attached video...

We ordered the $25 sample one first, and were very happy with how it worked and how easy it was to set up. Unfortunately, that is not the case with the larger panels we ordered. They came with just loose wires sticking out and no way to plug in or control them. We just paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars for an incomplete product that we cannot set up now unless we order even more things to make it so that we can actually plug it in, and it's going to require a significant amount of electrician style work to even make that happen even once we buy more elements. So you be warned: This smart film does not come with a way to plug it in and it does not come with remotes, just loose wires hanging out and you're going to have to get your own transformer and remotes and hook it all up somehow.
