I bought this as a back up in the event someone got my regular battery tester in the Tech area of my church. It is nice and small, works well and very easy to use. It is not digital which is what I prefer but the way it is designed it cuts the guess work that goes along with most analog units. I would recommend this unit to anyone who needs to test batteries on a regular basis like I do for the sound system at church. The price if very reasonable too.

previous review I posted said did not use batteries. It does(included). Tests many types of batteries including button cells. Easy to use.

The unit worked great for about 2 months unit the cell battery ran out. Now I can't find the correct battery to get it to work. Wish it worked without a battery or atleast would take a AAA cell.

Easy to useAccurate from what I can tell, it actually shows range not just high or low but different batteries I've checked will show throughout the lcd scale range, which tells me that the system actually measures the voltage and is scaled.The bad is the fact of no on/off switch. This may not be used for weeks or months but when you want to it should work.. But because it has a battery always feeding a tiny circuit pulling the battery out is the only way to keep it from draining the battery it uses to work. So I put cellophane on the battery before closing the lid.Come on a tiny switch would cost penny's.

I tried to measure an old battery I had lying around and the display was blank. Hmm. Tried another - same result. I turned the device over and saw the battery cover. Maybe there is a tab protecting the battery? Nope - no tab and no battery either! Had to come back to Amazon to look at the specs to see what battery I need to buy.

Product is as advertised. And the batteries described fit in the tester easily except for the button type batteries which are tight and are limited to one size of button batteries. Otherwise it is very easy to use and read. I have had it one day and can not attest to it's battery life or durability.

This feels light and cheap in your hands but well worth the price. Once you get the hang of how to hold the batteries in it, you’ll find it does its job perfectly.

This tester replaced a previous unit which was more basic than this model so is good to see a more accurate reading and range of strengths of each battery . which saves discarding good battery's.
