Kitchen Boss IS THE BOSS
Okay, so I've only had it for about 48hrs but it's basically been going since, I'm doing a massive quantity of corned beef briskets but that's all besides the point. So you want a piece of meat cooked to a precise temperature, stay juicy and be tender? Fire your wife and get one of these. This bad boy annihilated about 15 lbs of brisket in less than 24hrs. Still tender with the faintest pull and juicier than your mom's booty. It got about 5 gallons of water up to temp in no time at all and kept it there.... To the TENTH OF DEGREE!!!! 1100 watts really does make the difference to get your water up to temp quick and make fast corrections. If you're like me and went to bed without covering, you have to add water due to evaporation. It's super simple to use, no crazy Wi-Fi setup, you didn't have to sacrifice your first born to the Internet gods to link it your ugly smart watch. It's either on or off and at your desired temp and time ... Like 5 buttons I think? It's feels heavy duty, it's really well built. You could bludgeon home intruders and then sous vide their corpse. It's almost completely universal on where you can clip it in and what water vessel you choose. Overall, good quality, good product, fantastic results. You need this in your life.

Great product!
We decided to try this after talking with some friends. It cooks very well and the temperature and timer seem pretty accurate. It was easy to read and set up. We have been using this for a few months and have no problems so far

Spend more only if you want Bluetooth
This is a GREAT sous vide cooker. Easy to program, easy to use, works perfectly, virtually silent. Fact is, I'd give this 5 stars even if it didn't work that well just because it's BEAUTIFUL to look at. The control panel, in particular, is a delight. A bright clear display on a polished black background. Their industrial designer deserves a raise. The buttons work perfectly. Programming is intuitive - I don't think I even looked at the directions. Know that this thing has some heft to it. I had seen the pictures of course, but when you take it out of the box and hold it, it's still bigger and heavier than you expected. In a kitchen emergency, it could serve as a bludgeon. And the price is right. Spend more only if you want to control your cooker via your smartphone using Bluetooth, which is completely unnecessary, IMHO. I already had a 6-quart Instant Pot pressure cooker, so I started out using its container with this cooker. Worked well, but 6 quarts is a bit small. For even a small family you'll want to get a 12-quart sous vide container. A plastic lid is recommended to reduce evaporation, but I started out using plastic wrap from Costco and it worked just fine. (Evaporation just means you have to keep an eye on the water level during long cooks and add more water periodically.) Recently cooked a small bottom round roast, a low cost cut known for not being the best, and it came out great. Tender and juicy and flavorful. 14 hours at 131 degrees. Seared it with a BernzOmatic TS8000 propane torch, also highly recommended. Easy! Look for how-to videos on YouTube. They're a million of them. As you can probably tell, I am now a BIG fan of sous vide!

AbsolutelysSilent and works great!
We have only used this once so far. It was a Christmas gift for my husband. We made steak and it was the most delicious, restaurant quality meal we have had at home EVER! This machine is so quiet that we never knew it was cooking away in our kitchen. We also bought the container that holds the water. I was disappointed in that b/c it came with the wrong lid. There is a notice on the container that says it might ship with the wrong lid. I don't understand why they can't ship it with the lid that fits your sous vide machine. They will ship the correct lid to you, but it's just an extra step that no one wants to deal with. We were able to work around it while we wait for the proper lid to ship to us. Other than that, we are very satisfied with the purchase! I would recommend this machine to anyone looking to delve into sous vide cooking. It was easy to use and absolutely silent. We are hooked!

This works the best of the ones I've tested
I'm fairly new to Sous Vide cooking and so I started with the Anova cooker from Costco. As soon as I turned it on my entire household complained of the noise it made. There was a constant annoying buzzing/humming sound. It's hard to describe, but it was maddening. I loved how it cooked, but I could not deal with the sound so I returned it. In hopes that not all SV cookers made this similar sound, I turned to Amazon for my next purchase. I ordered the KitchenBoss G322, Yedi Infinity, and of course this one the KitchenBoss G310. To my excitement, all 3 were pretty silent, with the KB models being the quietest. None of the models were wifi enable like the Anova, but honestly, after using them, it didn't make any sense to have wifi or bt enabled cookers. Ok, I ended up liking the older model KB G310 the best because it was simple. I choose my temp and time and hit start. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. I didn't like the preset features of the G322 model. It was too difficult to set the temp and time I wanted. I had to use or edit the presets, which I didn't like. The Yedi was okay, but I didn't like how I would have to remove a screw in order to clean the elements and it wasn't waterproof. Not a good feature for an appliance you use around water. So, if you want a great affordable SV cooker, that has the power to heat quickly and the precision to heat consistently, then KitchenBoss is a great brand.

Excellent!
Kitchen Boss is a perfect name for this sous vide cooker! It is very solid and well made. The controls are easy to access and set. It comes to temperature quickly and cooked steaks to perfection! The unit fit easily onto a stock pot so there was no need to buy one of those sous vide tubs unless you want to. The water was gently circulated, the temperature was accurate, and the temperature remained constant during the entire cooking process. The components to the cooker were well sealed and unlikely to get wet during use. The timer was loud enough to hear without being obnoxiously loud. This was a definite improvement over the first sous vide cooker I owned!

Have Perfectly-Cooked, Fool-Proof, Thick Steaks!
Once you try sous vide cooking, it's hard not to want to cook all meats this way!! The method sounded un-appetizing and ridiculous, however because a friend (foody-snob) raved about the results, it is the ONLY reason I bought one. It's a basic model. Put your minimally seasoned raw meat into a zip-lock bag, submerge in a pot of water with the sous vide attached . The temperature you set the sous vide determines the level of doneness (rare, medium-rare...etc) and the cooking time you set determines how tender the meat becomes. I love to go to Costco and get the pack of thick (2 1/2 ") sirloin steaks. They look like filet mignon but much less expensive. Then I toss them into the pot, set the temp at 131 degrees (for perfectly pink meat, med., all the way through). I set the time for 5 hours for very tender. No need to watch the pot...I go shopping! Even if I time it an hour or two too long, since the temperature never gets above 131, the meat through and through will remain medium. I come home, toss it on a hot grill just to make grill marks and it is the most consistently delicious steak ever. Check out the videos AFMEasy.com. Chicken done sous vide is so tender and juicy! I chose the Kitchen Boss because I do not need the bells and whistles of internet control over my sous vide. I use this device a lot now. I have owned it about 4 mos. and am pleased with its performance. I bought a sous vide pot cover to stop water evaporation during long sous vides. I recommend getting a cover. Expensive restaurants use sous vide cooking. Now that these have come down in price where the regular household can afford them, I predict that sous vide will become more popular than the crock pot!!

Brooke before 5 months
We had this for less than 5 months. It worked great until it stopped. Plugged it in and nothing. No way to open it up to see what broke either. Used it only maybe 5 times.

Quiet As Can Be!
It's a little tricky to get sequencing figured out at the beginning when programming it, but once you get the hang of it, it works well. The first thing I noticed about it once it was turned on was how quiet it was. That to me is a major bonus because if something is going to be humming in your kitchen for hours and hours, it should be quiet. This is a very solid unit and I hope to get years of use out of it.

Really loud noise level
Info states "noiseless", 15 dB. In reality there is a LOUD whining sound that's audible in large parts of the house. Tried contacting the manufacturer but they haven't answered. Really really disappointed. Quality looked ok on the outside, build quality etc. But it's unusable for me when it's so loud. Especially since it states the opposite (which is why I bought it).
