Excellent book. Got a ringside view of American power play and unfolding of two present day crises, Ukraine war and Israel-Palestine conflict.

Wonderful book

The book was delivered today. For Rs. 600+, this well-made and solid hardback volume is quite reasonably priced. I have started reading it. Finished two chapters and it reads like a novel. And the author is a famous investigative journalist with impeccable record -- starting from exposing the Watergate Scandal in 1973.

Everything about the book condition to packaging was perfect.

To anyone interested in reading this book let me tell you this is absolutely 100% falsified. I thought Bob Woodward would be credible enough to read considering his expose of the Watergate scandal. However, his bias and leaning towards Biden/Harris is absolutely clearly highlighted. Investigative books are suppose to be unbiased and based on clear rationale reporting this book even lacks that element. To sum it up he wrote this book as a campaign toolkit for the Harris 2024 campaign. This book is nothing but one sided designed to stabilise the Trump campaign. However it failed to make a mark as the actual mandate of the American people was with Trump. Don't read !

Ordered this book after the 2024 US election after reading Woodwards three previous books and thoroughly enjoyed it. War takes you behind the scenes of Joe Bidens presidency as he faces down the war in Ukraine, the Israel and Hamas conflict, as well as his preparation for a re-election campaign. Woodward also takes the time to take the reader to the world of Donald Trump as he prepares to make a political comeback. Flipping between the two made the book more enjoyable and interesting. When it comes to the 2024 election, there was immense detail regarding Biden and Trump's campaigns in the primaries, Trump's trial and felony convictions in May, the run up to and fallout from the debate between them in June, and Bidens exit and the rise of Kamala Harris in July. Highly recommended

Ce livre tient toutes ses promesses et il vous tient en haleine, même si le vocabulaire et les expressions américaines vous font consulter régulièrement un traducteur online. Vraiment édifiant quant aux divers personnages évoqués!

I read “All the President’s Men” after watching the movie on TV as a teenager, but didn’t seriously get into any other Woodward books until the Trump presidency. This one, like his others “Fear”, “Rage” & “Peril”, is indispensable reading. The access Woodward gets and the narrative he builds are amazing. He just reports facts and quotes the views expressed by the people that he’s interviewed, but unsung heroes emerge from the shadows and even the characters that are known to us have much more intense light shone upon them. Here’s hoping that light is indeed the best disinfectant.

El libro es bueno, pero más que nada para entender cómo en Occidente suelen equivocarse en muchos de los puntos que aborda (especialmente sobre Ucrania). Siendo ucraniano, puedo decir con certeza que gran parte de lo que se menciona en esta obra no es más que tonterías mal fundamentadas. Es interesante leerlo para ver otra perspectiva, aunque está claro que muchas cosas no tienen conexión con la realidad.
