NOMAD - Traditional Leather Case - iPhone 16 Pro Max | Black Leather

NOMAD has built a solid reputation in the premium accessories space, and this Traditional Leather Case for the iPhone 16 Pro Max largely justifies the hype — though it won’t be for everyone. The leather is the real story here. It arrives feeling stiff and almost waxy, which can be off-putting at first, but this is intentional. Horween leather — the American full-grain leather NOMAD uses — is designed to patina over time, developing a unique character based on how you use it. After a few weeks of daily carry, the case starts to soften, darken slightly at the edges, and take on a genuinely beautiful aged look that cheap leather or PU alternatives simply cannot replicate. Build and fit are excellent. The case hugs the 16 Pro Max precisely, with well-cut openings for the Action Button, USB-C port, and camera array. The raised camera lip provides meaningful protection for that substantial lens module. MagSafe compatibility works without issue — alignment is accurate and charging speeds are unaffected. Day to day, it adds minimal bulk while providing a noticeably more secure grip than bare glass or a slim clear case. The aged brass or silver metal buttons feel premium and have satisfying tactile feedback. If you swap phones annually or prefer a consistent appearance, the price is harder to justify.

Stunning case. I’ve had many different leather cases over the years - Nomad, Woolnut, Mujjo, Ryan London etc - but this is one of the best (if not the best). I used to like the previous Nomad cases with the leather back but never found they fully fit the phone. However, this wrap around case is perfect. It clips into place perfectly and is really good quality. This is the closest thing I have had to one of the previous Apple branded leather cases. I can’t comment on how this case ages, but based on my initial impressions I’m confident it is built to last.

Deixo registrada minha insatisfação com a qualidade do produto. Estou utilizando a capa pela terceira vez e ela já apresenta pontos de descascamento e desgaste na superfície, conforme demonstram as fotos. Considerando que o produto é anunciado como confeccionado em couro legítimo, esperava uma qualidade e durabilidade significativamente superiores. Esse tipo de deterioração com tão pouco tempo de uso não me parece compatível com a proposta e o valor do produto. Solicito, por gentileza, que o vendedor avalie o ocorrido e apresente uma solução adequada para o problema, seja mediante troca do produto ou outra forma de atendimento da garantia.

Fit perfectly - no surprise. The leather is soft and feels like good quality. Time will tell how it weathers.

It’s a beautiful case and feels great. The metal buttons are very good. It feels much better than the modern variant. But the camera button opening is very bad as the screen is not protected there. After only 3 weeks of using it I had a small crack on my screen there that is now extending. So the basic functionality of a phone case, to protect the phone, is a failure.

This is definitely higher quality than other cases and, therefore, worth the price point. Other brands show you what their cases look like after a month, claiming that scratches give it a nice, worn look.. I've found that this is code for cheap leather, and that those other brands scratch very easily and do not look nicer in a month's time. The buttons on this phone are quality and durable, unlike cheaper brands that don't line up/fit well. While someone complained about the camera button not being covered, I prefer that feature. Other cases that cover the photo button or have a rim around it, the button becomes harder to use and less functional. If you aren't protecting your screen with tempered glass, you're risking a cracked screen case or no case. If you're willing to spend the money, I think this case is definitely worth it.

Case quality is solid, definetly overpriced, camera button cutout is bad.
