An excellent product for the professional or enthusiastic home chef. I think the sheath is a little unnecessary though risking food contamination if used.

I purchased these to cut butchers scraps that we feed to Badgers and although they are beautifully made unfortunately they wouldn't cut this product so maybe I ordered in error. I will still give 5 stars for quality.

Every one should have these in their kitchen.

Bought for cutting up meat and these are brilliant they cut through meat without an issue. Definitely worth adding to your kitchen draw though they are sharp and powerful so keep fingers away!

🔹INTRO & DESCRIPTION🔹 I chose these kitchen shears, as my current kitchen scissors have seen better days, and needed replacing. The Swysh professional kitchen scissors arrive in a black branded box which would make them suitable for gifting. Inside the scissors are in a leather sheath. There is also a user guide and cleaning cloth with the SWYSH name printed in gold foiling. 🔹OPINION🔹&🔹CONCLUSION🔹 When I first removed these scissors from the box, they certainly looked impressive. However, once I released the safety catch, the scissors sprung open quite forcefully. It only requires a slight movement on the catch for them to spring open. When it came to handling them I did find them awkward to hold. Although I am a woman, I do have fairly large hands, so anyone with small hands would struggle to hold these scissors comfortably and safely. The next problem I encountered is regarding them having “non-slip design handles”. This certainly wasn’t my experience, as they slipped in my hand when testing them out. The surface of the handle is very smooth, and due to how far they open out, this makes slipping more likely and potentially dangerous. Regarding the actual cutting, I tried them out on some skinless chicken thighs which I was cutting up for a curry, and I was rather disappointed with their performance, so much so that I resorted to using my knife. They did cut through celery and asparagus as well as tenderstem broccoli, but these are hardly much of a challenge! The leather sheath seems to be well made and nicely stitched, and the cloth is a nice addition, but are either of these things really necessary? It seems more a case of style over substance. In conclusion, I had very high expectations of these scissors, which sadly they have not lived up to. I certainly would not pay £24.99 for them, and had I not received them via Amazon Vine, I would almost certainly be sending them back for a refund.
