If anywhere in the long copper wire inside the blanket, bends, is nicked or cut anywhere in the entire blanket it will spark and melt that area. Luckily we caught it before it caused too much damage. We only used it for a few weeks and when we contacted the company we were told that it was not repairable and that the best solution was to buy a new unit. It does have a very limited warranty but read it very carefully. I never would have imagined that a industrial product was disposable instead of repairable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product, Great service *by V***6 on Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2018* Purchased two of these to keep our products at optimal viscosity during the winter. They worked great last winter. With cold weather approaching we set them up and noticed one wasn't working properly. We determined one of the controllers wasn't working. I contacted Powerblanket customer service and provided them with the serial number and they shipped me a new one under warranty. I purchased this product on in early January and now it is early march and the blanket has started to melt. This is a safety concern and now that I am just under 2 months of owning the product I am outside the return window. I would not recommend this product.
