Nice and snug without any hot spots. The zipper is really convenient and you can put the boots on with the laces tied and zip them up. Good to go. I wore them around for a few hours and they're really comfortable walking, kneeling, whatever. I can't speak to the durability, yet; but I'll make an update in a few months. I've worn Danner and Bates boots mostly, and I've always scoffed at 5.11 gear as "tacticool" stuff; but these boots do seem to be worth the money.

Super comfortable and overall great value on a great pair of boots. Break in period was almost non existent. I hike treacherous country for work and these boots are up to the task. The zipper is a nice touch for stability and quick on off capabilities. Have yet to try them in water, but they are breathable in the 110 I hike daily in. My go to boot from now on
