Totally loved this book, over the top but believable characters, brilliant and hilarious antics, loved the ship, loved the informative drawings . Couldn’t put it down. Laugh out loud funny. Highly recommend this book.

Her cruel aunt is ruthless and marries a rich gentleman. This gentleman showed her unimaginable love and kindness. As she works to uncover the mysterious murderer, more mysteries are uncovered and she finds herself wrapped in the folds of danger and death. Filled with twists, this book is bound to have you hooked to the end. Absolutely recommend this amazing book! -HM 11 years

Mr Walliams has done it again! He is in tune with those of us who never quite made it to adult hood, life can be fun! Of all his books, and I've read a few, my favorite is "the boy in the dress", " there is a snake in my school " was a hoot!

The "real" detectives are hilariously clueless, highlighting Dilly's brilliance, while Watson, her loyal dog, is the perfect sidekick and my favorite character. Overall, it’s a clever, funny read perfect for fans of Dahl-style adventures. Highly recommended!
