Great engineering
This lift is well designed and engineered to a high standard. It is inevitably a heavy piece of kit because of the weight and awkwardness of shape of drywall and plasterboard sheets it's intended to lift. If you've ever tried fitting a ceiling even with two pairs of hands it is an extremely hard and tiring work. Using this apparatus the task is made simple even for one person to do. There are a number of hoist manufacturers offering this type of lift and I chose this one on the basis of recommendations of other users. I can add my support for this particular model because of the quality of the manufacture and extremely competitive price. To be honest I wouldn't be able to buy the raw materials to make one of these given the quality and size of steel components. It all fits together beautifully on the work site but must be disassembled to move sites due to it's size and weight. However that's not surprising given the lifting capacity of the hoist. Very pleased with the purchase, now to get on with replacing ceilings in two adjacent rooms... phew!

Great item
What a cracking item. Was ideal for putting plasterboard up in new extension. Really easy to use. Only issue now is what to do with it now I've used it

Good product
Bought for partner who is a Joiner, used sheeting ceilings in our own house and elsewhere and is game changer if you work on your own, relatively easy to assemble/ disassemble. Would recommend.

Sturdy and versatile.
The lift takes a little getting used to. Once mastered, you can readily lift full sheets of plasterboard safely into position with confidence. I am using it for a high vaulted ceiling and it has proved invaluable. The brake is effective.

Not bad, not good
Just arrived today and while it seems pretty good, there are details that are bad. First the release catches are naff. The first one youโll use is to unfold the base triange. Its a crude bit of welded metal that is wobbly. That makes it difficult to unfold the legs and on mine the legs donโt lock when unfolded. Second the metal cradles for loading the plasterboard could do with a locking mechanism. They easily get knocked back and spring out of the way leaving you holding a plasterboard and nothing to rest it on. So you either need someone else with you to flip them back or you put the plasterboard down and try again.. The three wheels are of that supermarket trolley style that always seem to be at right angles to the direction you want them to go. Although the plasterboard holder can rotate through 360 degrees, if you try to lower it on the winch handle side you canโt really because the winch mechanism and handle get in the way. And finally the one to be very careful of. The winch release sticks out by the winch handle and it is easy to accidentally release it and have everything come crashing down. But if you are aware of and OK with these niggles, it does a good job lof lifting boards into place.

It does the job
This is the best thing ever. Works really well for the diy projects. The slopes no and balance the plasterboard sheets no problem.
