Amazon Kindle (newest gen) – Lightest and most compact Kindle with glare-free display, faster page turns, adjustable front light and long battery life – 16 GB – Without Ads – Matcha

I've loved using Kindles, ever since I bought the 4th Gen Kindle, over a decade ago. I recently bought another 4th Gen, a few months ago, to have as a backup. I've been using a 10th Gen, White, Basic for a few years and loved it, because it (unlike all of the black models, I've ever seen) didn't show fingerprints, which, tbh, annoy the heck out of me! However, recently, as it's always been in a case, so I can't understand why, it's developed a small "crack" in the frame, to the right of the screen, so I decided that maybe it was time to upgrade. Looking at the colours of the 11th Gen 2022 Models, I liked the "Denim," but was worried that, it too, would be plastered with fingerprints in no time. So, I was pleased when they brought out the Green/Matcha coloured model for 2024, (although I would've preferred a white option) in the hope that it wouldn't show fingerprints as much as the black option. I decided to wait for the Black Friday offers and was disappointed to find, that when they were listed on Thursday, at first, that only the black option was reduced on the Amazon Site (I later found that the Matcha also went down in price, later in the day) But the Matcha was on offer in a High Street Store, so I immediately ordered it and picked it up on the same day. I have to say, that the Set Up process was a breeze. I used the Kindle App on my phone and within minutes, it was all set up. I am particularly pleased, having spent hours, in the past, having organized my Library into "Collections," that all of my collections were transferred to the new device, which was something that I was worried about, but no issues. As to the device itself. It's a delight. I didn't think I'd like the "green" colour, but I absolutely love it. It's very compact and lightweight and a pleasure to hold "naked," and/or in a case. NO fingerprints. The front "bezels" on the device are made of some sort of matt "coarse," almost "roughly" textured plastic, which resists fingerprints and which makes it very secure to hold "naked." The screen is clearer and sharper than previous Kindles. The page turning process is very snappy and the screen, very responsive in all actions. One thing I am particularly pleased with, is that I have never been a fan of the "progress in book" option, which I couldn't disable/turn off (permanently) on my 10th Gen Kindle and whenever I did, I was constantly "reactivating it," accidentally, which I found very annoying. However, although the options are still available and I have it set to "page/percentage" I haven't once managed to "change," the status of the progress by accidentally touching the screen, at the bottom. In fact, I have tried to deliberately change the progress, to find that it takes several taps to do so, which is something I'm not at all unhappy about, so I'm happy to leave it on "page/percentage," rather than trying to turn it off completely. I have also purchased the OEM case for the device, which, although very pricey, fits beautifully, is comfortable to hold and doesn't feel "bulky" unlike the OEM case, I briefly tried on the 10th Gen Kindle. I did try a cheaper case, but, sadly, in spite of being advertised for the 11th Gen 2024 Model was too large for it and had to be returned. There don't seem to be that many options, thus far, for this particular model of KIndle. All in all, I would say that it's my favourite Kindle yet. If you're looking for a good basic e-reader for a reasonable (especially at the moment) price, then I would say, look no further. I can thoroughly recommend this device! 😉📚

Absolutely stunning. Was thinking for a while on which one to buy, but as I've never had one before I thought I'd go with the cheapest to see how it goes. It's in black and white which is absolutely fine, I don't need colour to read the pages, it's tiny, smaller than expected but super light to hold and im glad it's so small! I've read 5 books now in less than a month and had the ad free version. You can see which books are kindle unlimited and even the kindle books are ALOT cheaper than buying an actual book. I was worried I had too many books and where to put them all! But I can read as many as I want without taking up the space. You can borrow only a certain amount of books at one time, but that's ok as why would I want more than 20 borrowed anyway? I can only read one at a time. You can buy alot of accessories for them too online, handles, popsockets, cases etc... I've chosen to decorate mine. It can be individual. There is no glare AT all when reading in the sunshine (even on the lowest brightness setting) and the battery lasts for ages! ( I automatically set mine in settings to lock after 5 minutes of no use) I can read on my side when in bed and when going away, you don't need to take 8 books with you, you can just take this kindle and have 8 books downloaded, ideal for frequent holidayers! I went for the 16gb as I wasn't sure how much space id use, and I'd say it's perfect for me. The colour is gorgeous and there's so much information you can see from each book. It also gives you suggestions on what books to read based on what you've read. I've now linked to Goodreads so I can find books Id like to read once I've finished. The best thing I've ever bought being a book reader, take it everywhere with me. I looked at YouTube videos to find which one would be best for me and there's lotss of tip and tricks that you can get from your kindle. 100% worth the purchase and I'm sad I hadn't bought one sooner. Absolutely brilliant, jailbreaked mine and got rid of amazon on it and it works so well now. Nearly 1k books all for free. It is really cheap for what you get and it comes with USB C which is perfect for nearly everyone. Its quite small at around a hands size. Buy this if you want to read on a beach or anywhere else without worrying too much about it being broken. Its incredibly light compared to my old 3rd gen kindle and even my kobo. It comes with wifi and bluetooth and can do some basic web browsing and looking at news.

Kindle basic is honestly good enough and I don’t see why I would buy one thats more expensive that has features I’d probably not use🤷although I feel like the screen *is* fragile so guys PLEASE buy a screen protector. the screen is also perfect size for me so it doesn’t feel too heavy to hold. Others say it feels small, but it really is subjective I guess. It’s about the size of my hand. The battery is indeed really good and I think I only charged my kindle once since I bought it?😅 Btw the kindle arrived with the battery at 42%. I read 5 books before it was 20%🤗 you’ll also save so much more money since digital books are so much cheaper. You can also send books to your kindle directly from your phone trough “Send to kindle” or trough the kindle app itself. There’s an option for both light mode and dark mode. I personally always use light mode since you can adjust the brightness anyway. Btw a lot of people dont have books show up after a certain amount but you can fix that by pressing “Sync” on your kindle (which you can find by swiping your screen down and then you’ll see the sync option) and then the books you send to your kindle will show up :) 16GB is a lot for an e reader so you wont have to worry for a whole long time. I have so many books and I think I only take up like 1GB right now (excluding system files etc). Due to the e-ink technology it’s not actually a screen like our phones are- which is why many find it more comfortable and less harsh to your eyes. And the battery lasts so long because e-ink doesn’t use that much energy!🎉 I feel like I can’t explain everything in a review but since you made it this far, why not give the kindle a try?😋

Proste menu i niewielki rozmiar powoduje, że korzystam z niego codziennie po kilka godzin. • Co do różnic między wersjami Kindle 11 z 2022 roku a Kindle 11 z 2024 roku, odczuwalne jest szybsze przechodzenie do kolejnej strony książki, oraz większa moc oświetlenia w nocy. Innych różnic do tej pory nie zauważyłem. Obudowy obu wersji są takie same, etui od starszego czytnika (Kindle 11, 2022), pasuje do nowszego. Taki sam układ jedynego fizycznego przycisku - włącz/wyłącz - na dolnej krawędzi czytnika, jak równiez wejścia zasilana USB-C. Podobnie z jedyna diodą przy wejściu zasilającym. • Korzystnie w niższych temperaturach jesiennych, w rękawiczkach, jest możliwe. Czytałem na przystanku autobusowym przy listopadowej temperaturze ok. + 6°C, przenosząc go wcześniej na dworze przez ok. godzinę w zewnętrznej kieszeni kurtki. Po wybudzeniu (ok. sekundy), trochę jakby wolniej przewracały się storny niż czytając w domu ale wszystko również na zewnątrz podczas chłodu odbywa się z - dla mnie - akceptowalną zwłoką. Nie odrywa to od lektury, nie rozbija refleksji, nie wpływa na komfort czytania. Kindle reaguje na palce w nawet grubszych rękawiczkach z wszytymi tekstylnymi naparstkami do obsługi ekranów urządzeń mobilnych. Moje są nawet trochę za duże ale po delikatnym dociśnięciu palca ekran reaguje szybko. Myślę, że wszystkie rękawiczki zimowe z podobnymi naparstkami na kciuku i palcu wskazującym będą uruchamiały ekran tego Kindle'a, gdyż swoje kupiłem w dyskoncie za 30 zł, nie są to jakieś specjalne rekawiczki. Grubsze wełniane, z jakąś podszewką ocieplającą wewnątrz, żadna z ich warstw nie jest trwałe sygnowana żadną marką. Raczej dolna półka. To są detale ale - w mojej ocenie - istotne ponieważ, jak sądzę, do znaczącego przyspieszenia czytania książek doszło u mnie przez to, że wykorzystuje większość krótkich przerw poza domem, gdy muszę poczekać właśnie na przykład na autobus tomaszowskiej komunikacji miejskiej, potem jadąc nim jakiś odcinek. Również jesienią i zimą. Gdyby korzystnie z czytnika było bardziej skomplikowane czy wymagało częstego zdejmowania rękawiczek, pewnie w wielu sytuacjach bym zrezygnował z zabierania go i czytał korzystając z aplikacji Kindle na telefonie. Jednak tutaj jest to bardzo komfortowe, sprowadza się właściwie do kilku codziennie tych samych ruchów. Jest to nawyk, który wyrobił się u mnie, myślę że po tygodniu codziennego korzystania z Kindle'a. • Bateria Kindle'a trzyma - przy moim używaniu - około tygodnia. Oszczędzam w ten sposób baterię telefonu, by mieć pewność że wytrzyma do czasu dotarcia do gniazdka z prądem. I tak się też dzieje. W wyjątkowych sytuacjach wspomagam się oczywiście czasami powerbankiem ale docelowo lubię zachować standard: telefon ładuje się tylko w domu. Kondycja baterii potem jest wysoka przez wiele lat, a korzystając z talerzyka ładowaki indukcyjnej nie eksploatuje złacza zasilania • No i oczywiście wzrok. trudno mi to precyzyjnie ocenić samemu, ale przy tych czterech książkach tygoniowo które czytam na Kindle'u, odnoszę wrażenie że na telefonie czy tablecie robiłem dużo częścien i dużo więcej przerw, a i tak częstym uczuciem było pieczenia oczu, no i te zaciemnione oczodoły :( Każdy kto dłużej korzysta z komputera wie o czym mowię. Korzystając z Kindla, nawet zarywajac całą noc na czytanie ( dajmy na to od 23 do 5 rano, bo mieszkając w mieście na te godziny przypada względna cisza), po takim seansie jeszcze nigdy nie piekły mnie oczy. Tak więc, myślę, że 100 papierowych stron książki w najpopularniejszym formacie,można na Kindle'u przeczytać bez odrywania wzroku. Technologia elektronicznego atramentu to dla moich oczu zupełnie co innego niż czcionka wyświetlana na ekranie telefonu. Jestem pochłonięty treścią w 100% przerywając jedynie na drobne notatki, które łóżku, czy poza domem robię wewnątrz Kindle'a, po zaznaczeniu palcem całego cytatu czy pojedynczego kluczowego wyrazu. • Notatkę tworzy się tak jak pisze się SMSa w smartfonie. Jest to trochę wolniejsze od pisma odręcznego, jednak nie zaburza skupienia, gdy musiałbym na przykład wstać z łóżka z nagrzanego, ciałem, wyleżanego miejsca, włączyć lampkę tylko po to by odnotować dwa zdania, czy słowa klucze, dopisywać do tego numer strony czy lokalizacji na papierze. Nie. Notatki tutaj zachowują się w chmurze Amazon przez co są dostępne na każdym innym urządzeniu z aplikacją Kindle. To w - mojej ocenie - bardzo przydatna funkcja Kindle'a podobnie jak możliwość wyświetlenia na bieżąco informacji o opisywanej postaci, terminie, czy nieznanyn miejscu świecie. • Służy do tego Wikipedia, oraz Słownik Języka Polskiego. Uruchomić te źródła można po przesunięciu placem po wyrazie, który nas zainteresował. Wyświetla się lead artykułu w Wikipedii który - jak dla mnie - jest zazwyczaj wystarczającym objaśnienjem, o ile hasło napisane jest porządnie, czyli z esencją na początku. Można przejść dalej, do całości hasla przez kindlowską przeglądarkę internetową, co wymaga jednego klikniecia w link po leadem. Musimy jednak znajdować się w zasięgu sieci Wi-Fi, ktorą akredytowaliśmy po włączeniu pierwszego urządzenia Amazon z aplikacją Kindle. • Nie można się połączyć z dowolną siecią bez tej akredytacji. Można akredytować kilka czy nawet kilkanaście sieci Wi-Fi. Sam mam kilka. Poza domem by nie odkładać sprawdzania w Wikipedii na później zawsze noszę smartfon z włączona funkcja udostępniania internetu (tethering). Po nabyciu kolejnych urządzeń Amazon, nie trzeba akredytować sieci Wi-Fi za każdym razem, wystarczy że zaakceptujemy jednym tapnięciem w ekran by urządzenie - kolejny czytnik Kindle, czy tablet Fire, zaadaptował ustawienia z pierwszego urządzenia Amazon. To bardzo wygodne rozwiazanie. Konfiguracja routerów w domu to było okropieństwo. • Znam angielski, ale zwykle staram się przyglądać popularnym urządzeniom, i polityce dużych, globalnych firm z perspektywy potencjalnych wykluczeń no i tutaj uważam, że nawet nie znając języka po poznaniu kilkunastu słów po angielsku z obsługą Kindle'a poradzi sobie nawet 80-latka/ek bez znajomości angielskiego. Wikipedia działa na Kindle'u również po polsku. W zależności która wybierzemy na starcie, konfigurując swoje pierwsze urządzenie Amazon w tych kilku krokach na początku. To wszystko można potem pozmieniać, ja nie czuję takie potrzeby. Urządzenia przybliżyły mi świat, a nie wymagają bym skupiał się na nich samych ••• Reasumując, polecam Kindle 11 2024 dla osób których nuży dłubanie w technikaliach, a chciałby skupić się jedynie na lekturze, czy którym zależy na zwiększeniu liczby przeczytanych tytułów, nadrobić zaległości z przeszłości, poszerzyć horyzonty choćby stawiając swoje pierwsze kroki w nowym języku. Do wyboru jest tyle tekstów na różnym poziomie. Do czasów Kindle'a nigdy nie czytałem tak dużo. Oprócz tekstów po polsku na wyciągnięcie kciuka dostępna jest tu literatura z całego świata. Kindle to bez wątpienia przełom w moim życiu. Czytnik jest łatwy w obsłudze, a z powodu niewielkich rozmiarów wygodny do używania poza domem. Oprócz samego czytnika Amazon oferuje cały ekosystem który właściwie za Państwa dodaje książki do czytnika z jakiegokolwiek e-maila prywatnego z którego prześlecie je na swój spersonalizowny adres Kindle (jednorazowa prosta konfiguracja, wystarczy wymyślić sobie jakies słowo które będzie naszym loginem). • W przesłanym zestawie był czytnik, instrukcje i przewód z końcówką USB-C.

I have been using since December 2025. Pro: I absolutely love it, my eyes don’t feel tired as much as I read it on my phone. There’s no ads, because ads are only for the US device. There’s different type of fonts for you to choose. Even for people with dyslexic. Small, you can take it everywhere. You can import ebooks into your kindle to read. Very easy to do so. Cons: When I swipe on the screen to turn to the next page, sometimes(most of time) it glitches and turn to the next four pages. It does the same when I tap too but not as much as when I swipe it. Ebooks are so expensive for some people. It’s better if you have kindle unlimited. Or just buy physical books. Overall: Honestly I don’t regret buying it. If you read a lot then you should buy it. But if you don’t read a lot then it’s might not worth it. Also even if you have kindle, you’ll still buy physical books for your shelves.

Ich bin absolut begeistert vom Kindle in der Farbe Matcha Green! 🍵 Schon beim Auspacken merkt man, wie hochwertig und durchdacht das Gerät ist. Die Farbe ist wirklich etwas Besonderes – einfach ein echter Hingucker, der sich von den typischen schwarzen Geräten abhebt. Das Display ist gestochen scharf und super angenehm für die Augen. Selbst bei längeren Lesesessions habe ich keinerlei Ermüdung – fast wie bei echtem Papier. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Beleuchtung: Egal ob tagsüber oder abends im Bett, man kann immer perfekt lesen, ohne die Augen zu strapazieren. Die Größe von 6 Zoll ist für mich ideal – kompakt genug, um ihn überall mitzunehmen, aber trotzdem groß genug, um bequem lesen zu können. Er passt problemlos in jede Tasche, was ihn zum perfekten Begleiter für unterwegs macht. Auch die Akkulaufzeit ist einfach top! Man muss sich gefühlt wochenlang keine Gedanken ums Laden machen, was ich persönlich mega angenehm finde. Die Bedienung ist super – Bücher herunterladen, Seiten umblättern oder Einstellungen anpassen funktioniert ohne Probleme. Gerade für Leute, die einfach nur entspannt lesen wollen, ohne viel Technik-Schnickschnack, ist das perfekt. Fazit: Ein wunderschöner, leichter und zuverlässiger eReader, der das Lesen wirklich noch angenehmer macht. Absolute Kaufempfehlung für alle, die gerne lesen – egal ob zuhause oder unterwegs! :)

Si buscas un libro electrónico y no quieres complicaciones, este Kindle es una apuesta segura. En mi caso, no he probado otros e-readers, pero después de usar este, dudo que alguno pueda igualar una experiencia tan redonda y equilibrada. Lo que más destaco de mi uso diario: Perfecto para trayectos en tren: Lo uso a diario en mis viajes en tren y es una maravilla. Como pesa poquísimo y apenas abulta, lo saco y lo guardo en un segundo. Es ideal para leer con una sola mano mientras vas de camino al trabajo o a casa. Pantalla impecable: La pantalla no tiene reflejos, algo fundamental cuando te pega el sol por la ventanilla del tren o estás bajo luces potentes. Se lee exactamente igual que el papel y la vista no se cansa en absoluto. Manejo muy intuitivo: Es extremadamente sencillo de usar. Desde el primer minuto te haces con el menú y la navegación, lo cual se agradece para ir directo a la lectura sin perder el tiempo. Ademas siempre que lo retomas está donde lo dejaste. Batería y capacidad de sobra: Te olvidas por completo de cargarlo durante semanas. Además, tiene capacidad para miles de libros; tienes una biblioteca entera en la palma de la mano. En resumen, es una garantía de éxito. Si buscas calidad, ligereza y sencillez para leer en cualquier lugar, este Kindle es imbatible. Muy contento con la compra.
