How do you ensure that Amazon stores your supplement in a cool, dry place? Does Amazon have any information on their storage protocol?

Actually, this is a REALLY good question, because Amazon has stated clearly in its documentation for sellers that their supplements will be exposed to temperatures of up to 100F for potentially a very long time.From Amazon's own page to sellers: "Temperature-sensitive products must be able to withstand at least a minimum temperature of 50 degrees and at least a maximum temperature of 100 degrees for the duration of the product's shelf life without adversely affecting product quality. Carton markings must not include storage temperature requirements unless expressed explicitly as a range from 50 to 100 degrees. ... No products requiring refrigeration, air conditioning, or freezing are allowed. ... No perishables, including but not limited to fresh meats, fruits, or vegetables, are allowed."They have a major distribution center in Las Vegas, NV, so guess what happens to supplements stored there?    If your distribution center is somewhere cool, maybe you can feel more secure ordering supplements from them.    We only order supplements we know will not suffer from extreme temperatures from Amazon.

how do these pills compare to Vascepa or Lovaza?

Lovaza contains 465 mg of EPA and 375 mg of DHA for a total of 840 mg. Typical dose for high triglycerides is 2 capsules twice daily.   Vascepa contains 960 mg of pure EPA with no DHA.  Typical dosage for this is 2 capsules twice daily.  Nutrigold contains 750 mg of EPA and 250 mg of DHA for a total of 1000 mg.  I am a family medicine physician and thus treat a lot of lipid disorders.  Overall, I find this Nutrigold product very comparable and anecdotally see similar triglyceride reductions.  Of course, I do not have any double blinded controlled trials to back up this information.  Since Lovaza and Vascepa are expensive and not very well covered by many insurance plans, I frequently recommend that my patients take Nutrigold instead at a dose of 2 pills twice a day.

I do not see any current IFOS tests on this product, why not?

Another reviewer with high marks had posted or mentioned this information. If not, it's at the Nutrigold website when we checked a while ago or you can request it from them. Other reviewers seem to say Nutrigold is pretty upfront and responsive with that info.

Until recently, our Triple Strength Omega-3 Gold product featured omega-3 fatty acids in the ethyl ester form and each soft gel provided 1,060 mg of total omega-3 fatty acids (750 mg EPA + 250 mg DHA + 60 mg other omega-3 fatty acids). However, in keeping with our tradition of innovation and excellence and in response to increasing consumer preference for the natural triglyceride form of fatty acids, our Triple Strength Omega-3 Gold product was reformulated and each soft gel delivers 1,050 mg of total omega-3 fatty acids (725 mg EPA + 275 mg DHA + 50 mg other omega-3 fatty acids) in the triglyceride form instead of the ethyl ester form.
In terms of potency, there is only a minor difference between the earlier formulation (1,060 mg per soft gel) and the current formulation (1,050 mg per soft gel / 2,100 mg per 2 soft gel serving). The product image accurately reflects our new formulation, but the product description has not been updated by Amazon yet.
