I NEVER Leave Reviews > If you're on the fence > READ
As per the headline/subject-line, I could give a s*** about leaving ANY reviews on anything I buy here - BUT, this one actually deserves it. ----- My pool is approx 35k gallons, 7.5 feet on the deep end - it's not small by any means. Original pump failed, was a HAYWARD 1.5HP. Looked at replacements locally and online, which start between $349.99/649.99 and up from there. ----- At the time, this thing was on sale for $192.59 total with same-day shipping - so I took a shot. That was in April 2024. It's now October 2024 and it's working like a champ. ----- Since the purchase, I've had moments at least (3) separate instances where the pool has turned swamp-green with a nice coat of algae on the floor due to a bad salt cell, amongst other factors (travel, self inflicted negligence). It's important to note because for me to clean up the mess, I've had the pump run for 3-4 days at a time non-stop. ----- This thing works just as well as the HAYWARD I had. Zero issues. ----- The only thing I'll speak on (only issue I had - which happened once), would be the interior "cage" which protects the impeller -- see image attachment. I had a ton of debris and small leaves that worked their way through the "cage" and jammed the impeller. Not a fault of the pump - my pool was unbelievably dirty. This is not exclusive to this pump BTW, it happens to all of them, specially after a series of big parties and extended use where hair builds up and passes through. Anyway, the cage made it difficult for, actually impossible for me to remove/access the debris on the impeller with my fingers. As a result, the pump doesn't prime and puts out a large "out-of-norm" humming noise. If this happens to you, take some "Dental Hook Probes" and work them through the plastic grid to remove the debris. ----- After that hiccup, it primed instantly and has been working perfectly since. ----- For the money and delivery time-frame, hard to beat this. ----- I can't speak on the longevity of it YET, but if you're in a pinch time-wise and money is tight...this will get the job done. ----- As a final note, I had to rework my original plumbing to get the fittings/pump to hook up. This is not exactly plug-n-play out-of-the-box...but then again...NO NEW PUMP IS. The benefit of hooking up the included fittings is that it makes the pump an easy twist-on/twist-off install and removal. MEANING...IF THIS PUMP GOES BAD - AND YOU BUY THE SAME ONE - you can pop-it in...in minutes. ----- If this goes bad at any point, best believe I'm buying it again - hands down. Hope it helps.

Great inexpensive pump
Works great so far. I did have a few issues but these were on me not the pump. The top cap wouldn't tighten all the way down. It kept popping back up. But that's because I wasn't perfectly aligned with the pipe. I saw some people complain about the not twisting on. You can verify because if you unscrew the other end and then screw that end in first after adjusting a bit then that one screws in no problem. Also the motor kept cutting off at first after like 5 seconds but that was because I forgot to hit the button for 230v vs 115v in the back. Great pressure and super quiet. Now if my pump goes out $200 I can get the exact replacement and not have to redo any piping.

It wasn’t as easy as the advertisement and I’m out $200
Ok changing gears on this pool pump mystery. I’ve been up most the night pondering over this and this morning. I should have gone with my first choice which was to fix the leak. The kit is like $24.95. But instead I thought it would just be easier to purchase a new one and just put the wires in. That turned out to be wrong it wasn’t an easy fix and now I’m going on two weeks and the pool is turning black which will take me another two weeks to get it right again having to clean the filter and vacuum the pool several times. I don’t have much time left here I have to be moved out completely by august 10th which is 26 days. I have to hire movers I have to empty all this heavy stuff out of the house and I have to locate a place somewhere on this continent that I can afford and then live out the rest of my life. None of this is your fault I’m just venting. So I took apart the pool pump from the skimmer and the gaskets are worn and the little seal needs to be replaced to stop the leaking. So I’m going to drop it off at the pool shop in hopes they can fix the seal and plug in the wires from the unit into the switch for 230. All I need you to do is to put all the electrical back to how is was originally so that all I have to do when I get the pump back is screw in the blue and white wire to the switch and turn it on. There are 6 equip running off the breaker. Pump 1, pump 2, blower, heater, timer, sprinkler. Hopefully I can get it back today but probably tomorrow or Friday most likely the way my luck has been going. Again no fault of yours or Teo I take full responsibility for the choices I make. So if you can help me put all the electrical back to how it was prior that would be great. I only disconnected 2 wires initially from the electrical cable to remove the old pump and now I have this huge issue. I’ll just chalk up the loss as a complete stupid decision on my part. It’s not the first time. I’m running out of time and now I’m in a panic to get this pool cleaned. I wanted to enjoy my last few days here at the house I was born in and swimming in the pool is a huge part of my life here. I’ll text you and keep you posted as to when I’ll get the pump back but if you could return the wiring back to pre-op as soon as possible I’d really appreciate it so that I can just hook up the refurbished and take it from there. Everything works over there. There was just a leak. I really created a problem from nothing trying to make it easier. That vivohome advertising was really convincing. They got my money and delivered nothing easy. Oh well lesson learned..

Product life span /warranty
I’m giving a 2 star rating for the moment . I bought this pump in September of 2024 . It’s not had a lot of use between then and now . It died the other day . Turning it on it just hums and through the breaker . Most of us say hey thats a bad start capacitor ! But it checks out good . I spin the shaft and it starts up . I contacted the company and I’m waiting to hear back . Oddly which I didn’t catch was there’s no warranty info posted on Amazon nor the MF’s web site that I could find . Also it’s my fault that I didn’t realize what this company specializes in which is not pool pumps . Lol Also I’m not sure this pump is rated for outdoor use it sure does not look like it is . So I’ll see how they handle this if there’s no replacement then this review will stand and you should avoid this product without clear warranty info . I will say it’s quiet and its flow rate is good when running . lol wish it was a two speed . Update ; contact with company via email sent some possible repair options which worked . It involves some mechanical skills so be aware . Company response was fast so that’s another plus . Bottom line pool up and running again . 😊

One Year Fail
After One year and a few months, this thing is Leaking a lot where the motor connects to the pool pump filter basket housing, and the top of the basket cover does not seal the motor stll runs but the rest is plastic trash. it is not worth the money to purchase and have to replace again in a less than two year time period My Rating for this. Chinese Earth Clutter . GARBAGE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! The only thing I didn't Like was the Install manual It should be more specific as to the 115 or 230v It doesn't seem to be on the motor Lable as to what it was set at. that said it is prettty straight forward. These are obviously sold for the Do it your selfers so you better have a decent knowledge of electrical. Ive personally screwed in a light bulb or two so it was pretty simple for me. To All the Nay sayers.... One its all hooked up fill the thing up with water put the cap on and turn it on. It pulled water and primed straight away. The thing is whisper quiet and very smooth running. If anything changes I'll be sure to Update this. IF YOUR WIRING FROM A TIMER, 230/240 WIRE COLORS MAY VARY, CUT THE PLUG OFF USE THE EXISTING WIRES AND BE SURE TO MOVE THE BACK PLATE SWITCH TO 240 OR "H" as it may be marked.

It doesn't work and customer service is a joke
We purchased a pool pump in August 2023, installed it in September and it stopped working by the end of January 2024. We had guests at the house who didn't want to be bothered with it, so we waited a few weeks to see if we can fix it, then contacted customer service on 2/27/24. I explained to customer service that the pool pump would not turn on at all. A little later I received an email asking for a video of the problem, which was a weird request for something that does not turn on, but I complied with the request, and sent in a vide of the non-working pool pump. I was advised that this has been sent to the factory and that someone would get back to me, but they never did. I sent an email again on 3/4, asking for a replacement and a return label for the broken pump so I can send it back. Next day I received and email stating that there's no need to send back the broken pump, they already processed a replacement for me and I should receive it in 5-7 business days. No confirmation number was given, so I decided to wait a couple of days, and after not hearing anything, called at 1pm on 3/7 and asked for a tracking number, or anything confirming a replacement was sent. I was told someone will call me back in an hour. No one did (notice the pattern?), so I called back after two hours at around 3pm. The girl, I believe her name was Norma, told me that I have go wait exactly 48 hours before they answer me, and since the last communication about the replacement was on Tuesday at 7pm, I have to wait until 7pm today. No one ever called me, and the next day I was e-mailed a fake tracking number. At this point it's obvious that I'm getting the runaround and will likely never see a replacement, so long story short, save yourself the headache and don't buy this junk. I can't believe Amazon allows this to happen on their platform
