    Great tool to determine fit.  Also good for growing boys and girls.

This is a great tool to dial in your fit.  Once the correct fit has been ascertained, put a proper one piece stem on.  Having said that, I have two daughters that have a stem like this (not same brand) as stock on their hybrid bikes, and there have been zero issues.  Obviously they are not sprinting or jumping stumps.  This part in my mind is a "common sense" part.  Use it as a tool to determine fit, or use it for a growing child in a no stress application.
