Great Quality 👍
Excellent Build Quality used in a industrial convention oven and worked perfectly to OEM also amp Draw was in the ideal range for the circuitry up and down stream. Great for the price that's all I really needed vs. ordering a whole spool. Thank You 👍!

Good quality wire for high temperature applications.
I purchased this wire to replace bad wires in my furnace this wire appears to be made very good I expect it will last better than the original. I just put it in three days ago, worked perfectly, but I think it will be good long term. Will buy again, the insulation is made very good.

Excellent value
I purchased the 18 ga wire to match the existing wiring of a gas stove. This single conductor wire was used to replace several wires on a gas stove in the control area. The old wires to and from the spark igniter module had become charred (along with the spark igniter module) due to a misaligned gas tube, allowing flame to enter the control area. Old wires had to be removed as the connectors had become fused by fire to the spark igniter module. This wire was chosen due to its size (18 gauge, equivalent to original), heat resistance, and flame resistance. Indeed, the wire is flame resistant, as I tested it with a gas flame. It eventually blackened, but it did not burn. I was happily surprised to see the wire is stranded copper rather than stranded aluminum, which has a much lower melting point than copper, so the wire should be considerably more heat resistant. The wire is adequately flexible. While the inner insulation readily strips with a wire stripper, the outer braided fiberglass jacket is more difficult to remove. I had to snip it off with scissors, which is easy to do, but it leaves a mess of itchy fiberglass fibers on your clothes, so wear gloves and be ready to vacuum the fibers off your clothes. Furthermore, the jacket frays at the cut end. The solution to the frayed cut end is to push the frayed end into the hub of an insulated connector, so when you crimp the connector, the frayed part is stuck inside the connector hub. You could use some type of tape to solidify the frayed end, but you'd want to use a heat and flame resistant tape. I'm sure this is an inconvenience common to many wires with a fiberglass jacket. I would recommend this wire for gas stove repair. It's a great value for the money. For electric ranges, much of the wiring carries much higher currents so I absolutely would not consider the 18 ga wire for an electric range (unless you know it will be used for a low current circuit).

First things first. I ordered 14AWG and I got 14AWG. The wire is copper and it has a 2 layer high temperature Mica and Fiberglass coating. I used this to rewire a vintage popcorn machine pot with connections directly to the heating element and it turned out fantastic. To be honest, I was shocked at the quality of the wire versus the price. Had I managed to find anything similar to this at one of the box stores near me, it would have cost 4 times as much... Unfortunately, it's easier to buy bread and flowers in a box store than any sort of hardware product you might actually need.
