These are fantastic UV lights. Small, inexpensive, rechargeable. Far more powerful than I expected. The extra-dark of the two is, in my opinion, unnecessary overkill though it does make visible far more than the lesser of the two. An example of their strength: when I shine the light on my skin, I can feel the heat immediately. What I use them for: Scorpions. These little bastards light up brighter than performers on the Broadway stage. They will not escape or go unnoticed when armed with these lights.

Great choice with getting both levels of light, I use both to verify Glass Classifications between Uranium and Manganese. Its great to get both for such a great deal. The black lensed one is the only one I would really recommend. It does a great job of illuminating without the purple cast over everything. It made seeing ringworm on kittens MUCH easier. It's battery only really lasted about a half an hour before needing to be recharged. I ended up getting a larger black lensed UV flashlight from this company and it has been great. Handy little tool and can even help diagnose medical conditions that glow under uv. Good quality just bad battery life.

I carry these everywhere in my cross body bag as you never know when you'll need them. 😆 I use them in looking for uranium glass at thrift and antique shops as there's a lot of glass that looks like them, but doesn't glow. These are plenty bright and do the job nicely.

Let's play detectives! Either frequency would detect the cat pee markings. I'd say it's in real life I prefered the blue light, i.e.: the 365nm, due to overall dimmer light and thereoff lower contrast between different elements. Once the eyes got used to the darkness the 365nm flashlight was sufficient. The violet, 395nm, was a great help in detecting quickly were the markings were, but then it "blinded" me due to its high brightness. The flashlights would also show "everything else" that might be worth cleaning, and also the security markings in my passport, with both flashlights highlighting different patterns in it. The flashlights themselves breathe high quality and durability. The attention to detail is very reassuring. The fact that there's no need to insert batteries is a plus for me and a 0,5m long USB C charging cable is included. I highly recommend the Darkbeam UV flashlights.
