With this bag, so far so good, however, I use this bag as a slider bag, which I don't open and close as much. A lot of times when I open zippers on any bag, I tend to take more care opening and closing it BECAUSE I know how annoying it is when it busts. I suppose metal zippers are superior to plastic zippers. But overall, it's still intact. **Q: Is the main compartment fully padded even wihout the 2 divders - are any of the pockets padded?** A: There is padding on the sides of the case although it is not too thick. There is a padded “sheet” that creates a divider between the top and bottom so you can stack and then cinch everything down with the robust straps that are attached to the bag.
