A light sleeper no longer being woken up!
I am a pretty light sleeper. I have four children, ages 9-17, and sometimes they stay up late, sometimes they wander into my room to get something or other late at night, sometimes my husband snores or coughs, :) and sometimes we have a train that goes by the house at night. Just typical life stuff, but I crack my eyelid for a second when I hear things, and obviously that's pulling me out of good sleep. I used to turn on the fan in my bathroom, hoping to drown out some of the noise. I also got a white noise maker to try to drown things out even more. I liked having those things, but I was still being woken up. These sleepbuds are a life saver for blocking all those little noises that would normally interrupt my sleep (even if just briefly). First, they are very comfortable. The medium size fits my ear very well. You need to twist it back into your ear for the little wing tip to fit snugly into the groove of your ear. Once you've got them in, there is no risk of them falling out. I am a side sleeper and 95% of the night I sleep on only my right side, so I usually just put the left ear in, and my right ear is pressed against the pillow. The sounds in the app are very soothing. My favorite right now is Crimson Cloak, which has a very nice even tone in the middle range. It's perfect white noise. I've also slept with the crackling fire one, and the raindrops one - and both are also soothing. But, I go back to the simple white noise options most often. There are not very many sleep sounds in the Ozlo app, only about ten (I'd love if there were more options), but I had no trouble finding one I like. Plus, I have a subscription to Headspace and I'm able to use these sleepbuds with their night sounds if I want. One thing I like about the sounds in the app is that they don't overwhelm. It doesn't feel like anything is blasting in your ear. The sound almost feels "far away" like you're hearing it from outside a window. This is not a defect of the earbuds, because I can use the buds when listening to other things on my phone and it sounds great. I think it is a feature of the sounds within the app. They don't feel overwhelming, and I have no trouble falling right to sleep. My husband thinks I must be getting into a pretty deep sleep when I wear them, because he says I make noises in my sleep when I'm really out :) and I've been doing that ever since wearing these. I dream often, so maybe that's why?? Every morning my husband is asking, "Did you hear me cough? Did you hear me get up in the night? Did you hear the dog bark?" and whenever I answer "no" he is super impressed. I sleep about 7-8 hours a night and the battery always lasts through the night. But, they do have to go back in the case to charge every day. One night I put one of the earbuds back in the case flipped 180, and so it didn't charge, and that night it did not have enough battery to use it. Connecting them up to my phone was easy. They walk you through how to do it in the app. It took about 30 minutes for the updates to download and then it was ready to go. They auto connect via bluetooth when I open the case. But, one odd thing is that to disconnect them I have to put them back in the case, close the lid, and then turn off my bluetooth for a second so they disconnect. I'm hoping that is something that can be fixed, so they disconnect automatically when I put them back in the case in the morning. My husband keeps talking about wanting to try them, but I'm reluctant to not have them for a night while he tries them out :). I guess I'll just have to get him his own pair!

Less than 24 hours and they are going back
Had them less than 24 hours and I already know … they are going back. Bottom line: Don’t waste your time and money with these. Go for a cheap, ~35-ish pair and get about the same performance with better battery life and a better charging case. Or - if you only care about noise blockage and not streaming or sleep sounds, get the wax ear plugs ($15 for 10 reusable pairs) and sleep sleep sleep away in silence, even on an airplane. I read the reviews of Ozlo and decided to try them anyway, even with the mixed sentiments. I am an experienced user of sleep buds and ear plugs due to years of travel, noise sensitivity, and a snoring spouse. These absolutely are not worth the money. The flags arose even before sleeping with them. Red flag #1: Trying to download the update. They were connected to my phone but the app didn’t recognize that and wouldn’t install the update. Tried over several hours and this morning. No dice. Red flag #2: They don’t charge evenly. Not sure how or why, but after several hours in the case, one was 100% and one was 3%. As another reviewer said, the case looks and feels nice but is impractical and, I think, very sensitive to perfect positioning. If the case is anywhere but on a flat surface, I fear it won’t work properly. Not good if you travel. Red flag #3: The fit isn’t snug enough to block sound. Nuff said about that. Also, one came out of my ear while sleeping and I had to look for it. You don’t want that on a plane or in a hotel room. For fun, at the same time, I purchased a $35 pair to evaluate them side by side. I am keeping those. They are slightly bigger but still comfortable and, for the money, seem to do just as well. They also have a cool feature where you click four times and it turns them to sleep mode so that you don’t press buttons via the pillow while you sleep. They give you the audible that they are in sleep mode. Great. I also now have the Soundcore A30s and those are also far better than the Oslo’s. If Beats Fit Pro were smaller and had a feature to go to a similar sleep mode, they would be fabulous sleepers for home. I also have the Philips Kokoon. I would recommend these over the Ozlo, even though their sound quality isn’t the greatest. The best thing about these is that they connect quickly and easily, and the left and right are held together by a wire that goes behind your neck. It’s not bad and you get used to it. That’s also good for airplanes and hotel rooms because you are less likely to misplace one. Skip the Ozlo’s. Not worth the money.

UPDATED REVIEW
My original review is below the dotted line and I’m submitting this update 5 months after my purchase. If your are a person who uses a CPAP machine (see my video) please note that magnetic strap locks on the face mask will OFTEN RESULT IN LOSING THE BLUETOOTH CONNECTION between your cell phone having the Ozlo app and the Ozlo earbuds. The magnetic field from the rare earth magnets on the couplers cause the disconnect. This is NOT the fault of the Ozlo earbuds or the Ozlo app. I had to “semi retire” my Ozlo earbuds and go back to using a sleep mask when I’m in bed at night. The sleep mask has an easier connect to Bluetooth over the earbuds because the sleep mask Bluetooth connection antenna is not residing inside the ear canal and has a better and more reliable connection than the Ozlo connection antenna which is inside your ear. Please also note that I am not removing any stars on my review. The Ozlo sleepbuds serve me well during the day when a take a snooze in my recliner and when I am NOT USING MY CPAP. A possible “work around” for CPAP sleepers is to use a CPAP mask that does NOT HAVE OR NEED MAGNETS. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• I bought these in January, 2026. I’ve owned Bose sleepbuds and they were helpful but they didn’t have the option for Bluetooth. The Ozlos do and they connect perfectly and easily every time I wear them at night. THE CRITICAL THING TO NOTE IS TURN OFF OTHER BLUETOOTH DEVICES. IF YOU DON’T THE OZLOS CAN “ROUTE” TO UNWANTED DEVICES AND CAUSE A DISCONNECT TO THE DEVICE THAT SUPPLIES THE SOUNDS YOU WANT TO HEAR THROUGH THE OZLOS. #1. I live near an airport used by both commercial flights and military jets. At night, the noise is unbelievable when very loud fighter jets pass overhead at 900 feet (I’m a pilot and can verify altitude knowing what the glide slope is here.) Now that I’m using my Ozlo Sleepbuds I’m able to sleep through the night, never EVER bothered by outside noise now such as military aircraft, barking dogs and thunderstorms. #2. My wife snores like a chainsaw. Maybe the neighbors down the road can hear her but I can’t now that I’m wearing my Ozlos. #3. I sleep on my side and these don’t bother me a bit. In fact, the Ozlos are much more comfortable than Bluetooth sleep masks that didn’t block exterior sounds at night. #4. I also have an auditory problem called TINNITUS and that made me get really bad sleep scores at night but with the flawless Bluetooth capability of the Ozlos, I’m able to play pleasing soft sounds that drown out the TINNITUS and my sleep score improved significantly. (thank you Ozlo.) I suggest using “Sleep Sounds” found on YouTube. WOW, a lot of the sleep videos on YouTube that are very helpful for tinnitus and people who get help relaxing at night. #5. These easily placed in my ears, they are very comfortable and the Ozlos quickly connect to my iPhone through the Ozlo app. These come with optional ear fittings for people having different size ear canals, so you’ll rest assured that they won’t fall out of your ears when snoozing. The app quickly connects to the Ozlos and that same app has an assortment of sorts sounds to help drown out exterior noises but for my tinnitus I use a app called “MyNoise”and when I use that app, the connection is very quick and I have dozens of pleasant night sounds to choose from. #6. Each and every night, I’m able to wear the Ozlos for 8 hours and they hold a charge and never have “knocked” out. When the Ozlos are placed back into the charging case, they quickly and easily go to “full charge.” The charging case works really well and on occasions when my wife wakes me up, I easily can place the sleepbuds in the charger when the lights are turned off. The easy-to-slide lid closes on top and and they are easy to remove again when I come back to bed when it’s dark. Here is THE BAD NEWS THOUGH… I paid $297 for the Ozlos and they are worth every penny.BUT THE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU IS… the price has dropped. Bottom line, my sleep has improved and I am not bothered by that “chainsaw” in the bed next to me.

Comfortable earbuds that help me sleep, but they do have some drawbacks...
I've been using these earbuds since the first week of November, 2024 and they really do help me fall asleep and stay asleep. Once I settled on the best fitting ear bud tips, they were pretty comfortable and I can sleep in any position without really even noticing that they're in my ears. There is still a tad bit of ear fatigue in the morning, but it subsides quickly. The various Sleep Sounds are pretty good for the most part. I'm particularly fond of the Rain, Crimson Cloak, & Fireplace sleep sounds. The others are okay, but I can't bring myself to try the Babbling Brook one, because I irrationally fear it will make me pee myself in my sleep.. My favorite feature of these buds is the Alarm. Before, I would just use my phone's alarm, but I would need 4-5 separate alarms that would go off at different times before I would wake up. My wife was not a fan of this, since she wakes up an hour after I do. Now that I am using the alarm that's built into the Ozlo app, I only need 2 alarms to wake up. I'm sure that my wife much prefers this setup. The alarm choices are also quite pleasant. They're not harsh, so they don't jolt you awake. Instead, they gently wake you up, which is nice. Now for cons: - First, and foremost, they're expensive. $300 is steep for any set of earbuds. - I exclusively use these for the Sleep Sounds & I don't stream anything from my phone. Because of this(and another issue mention below), I only use these in "Battery Saver" mode, which turns off Bluetooth after 10 minutes. This greatly increases both the battery life of the sleep buds over night, but also the battery life of the case itself. The downside to this mode is that once the Bluetooth turns off, the only way to reconnect the buds is to put them back into the case. This is pretty annoying if you're 30 minutes into laying in bed and decide that you want to change to a different Sleep Sound. - Connecting to the buds in the app seems to take 30-45 seconds, even though they connect to my phone within just a few seconds. When I slide the case open, only a few seconds go by before the Bluetooth connection icon appears on my phones Notification Bar, and I'm able to listened to whatever Sleep Sound that I have selected right then. Now if I want to get into the app to change settings, the app seems to take 30-45 seconds to connect to the buds. - I wish there was a earbud tip that combined the actual tip size of the Medium, but the "Finger"(the piece that holds it into your inner ear) size of the Large. Both features on each size get bigger/smaller accordingly, but if the combination that I mentioned existed, that would be perfect for my ears. - I wish there were a few more Sleep Sounds to choose from. The ones I mentioned are my favorites(even though the Fireplace one is noticeably repetitive), but it would be nice to have a bit more variety. - After the first week, or so, of getting these, I noticed that the buds would cut out for a couple seconds a few times a night, which was jarring. This is the main reason that I switched to the Battery Saver mode, which solved the issue. - The sleep tracking feature, aka "My Sleep - Sleep Data", has been "Coming Soon" for month now.. EDIT: It seems that the case is unable to charge the earbuds while the case is plugged in and changing, or there is at least a bug that makes it seem that way. Twice now I've went to use the buds, only for one of them to die within a few minutes. Both times happened right after unplugging the case from the charger that I also use for my phone.

Love em
As a former user of the Bose Sleepbuds, I’m happy that Ozlo carried on the torch. They are very comfortable and perfect for side sleepers. I have not had any issues thus far. The set up was a bit time consuming due to required updates. The buds connected to my phone without any issues. After a few nights, I noticed the right bud’s battery level would be about 5-10% lower than the left bud. I ended up turning the sleep tracker function off, and that took care of it. Maybe the right bud is used more for sleep tracking data, not sure. I use my watch for sleep tracking, so I don’t need the Ozlo’s to do it. The results seemed pretty accurate though. And the buds do last all night for me. 8-9 hours or so. I don’t use them for streaming any audio. The masking sounds that Ozlo uses are great. There are plenty to choose from. However, most of the sounds needed updates. That’s about 2-3 minutes for each sound to update. The buds themselves, can’t hold the entire library of sounds, so you may need to swap sounds to your liking. Again, this is a 2-3 minute process per sound. Not a deal breaker for me. I’m just glad they have plenty to choose from. A lot of the negative reviews I read were complaints about sound quality. Keep in mind these are made for sleeping and noise masking, not jamming out or head banging to your favorite tunes. As I mentioned earlier, I haven’t used them to stream any audio other than the masking sounds, so I can’t comment on the audio quality. I use proper earbuds for listening to music and streaming. To sum it up, I’d recommend these for better sleep. I’ve been using this style of sleep buds for many years now, and my sleep has improved a lot. Hope this helps.

UPDATE! DO NOT GET OZLO's!! New Soundcore A30's knock these out of the water hands down!!!!!
UPDATE! Soundcore has released the A30 Sleep earbuds. 1000% IMPROVEMENT over the A20's and NO comparison to the Ozlo's. So impressed with the Soundcore's I BOUGHT 2 PAIRS (one to keep at home and one for travel). Stunning sound signature, total comfort for side sleeping, ANC + now PHONE CALL CALL CAPABLE!!!! This is a NO BRAINER! ------------ What a LETDOWN. Aaah the anticipation. Premium packaging. Nice charge case (not the best, but "okay"). Then tried them on. At first I thought WOW. Could these be "IT"?? Then turned on and streamed some television. Oh oh. Went to a higher quality music app and streamed again. OH OH. Didn't take long to figure out why Bose abandoned and discontinued this product. For these guys to market this, and at an ever higher price point as the new and improved "Bose" alternative Sleep solution is simply astonishing. There is ZERO difference in sound quality compared to the Soundcore A20s at half the price, and I'd venture to say there are many other even cheaper options with similar sound. There is NO comparison to ANY Bose product I've ever used. If you NEED HiFi premium sound these are a BIG NO. The product did accomplish ONE thing. The ability to lie on your side without ANYTHING pressing against your ear. I'd give them 10/10 on that. But that's ALL folks. The app is suboptimal. Sleep sounds library is very deficient compared to the numerous apps available with large ranges of sleep sounds, binaural beats, noise colors, etc. For me, I need to be able to answer phone during sleep if get emergency calls. So....NO mic here. You have to end up using phone to answer calls, and the phone's mic. IF the sound signature was there, as excepted from a product coming from "Bose" engineers, at this price point, I'd say OK. I'll keep. I'm perplexed at the numerous stellar reviews, and could only explain by people getting blinded by what these do vs. what they don't. I guess for most the sound quality expectations fall way short of what mine is. In my case I will watch a movie, or tv, or listen to music before bed, and then gradually fall asleep. Before sleep I do NOT want suboptimal sound. It actually angers me. I need that premium immersion. Based on that I really should give this product a 2 star. But their effort to create something you can actually sleep with gave them an extra star. And BTW, the comfort is NOT 100%. It is an IN YOUR EAR product. There is moisture, and some itching (a lot in my case) and I was majorly relieved to take out of my ears after a few hours. I will stick to my Bose Open Ear Ultra's. You can actually sleep on your side with them and there is NO obstruction of ear canal. And the sound is astounding. I'm also very leery of noise canceling for sleep due to situational awareness issues and safety. Not a good idea in general. Sorry Ozlo. This is a NO GO for me. RETURNED PROMPTLY.

Worth $50, not $300
I find it relaxing to listen to audiobooks/podcasts while falling asleep. After using regular earbuds for this for years, I decided to splurge on myself and get a dedicated sleepbud-type product. I picked the Ozlo sleepbuds expecting a premium product experience for the $300 price point. The reality is they are a fussy, buggy product that is (to be fair) quite decent when it works and is awful when it doesn't. I would return these if I wasn't past the return window on Amazon. Here are more detailed pros/cons I have found after using them for 4 months: Pros: - The fit and comfort level is quite good. You can sleep on your side while they are in. - The battery life is good enough to get through a night of sleep on a charge. Cons: - They often don't connect properly to my phone, so I have to repeat specific steps to get them working. Put them both in the case, ensure they are seated properly, open the app, open the case lid, then wait for them to connect in the app before I can take them out and use them. Not a huge deal but again, its fussy. - The sleepbuds must be kept close to the case (like 10 feet), or they will disconnect, forcing you to potentially repeat all the connection steps above if they bug out. So you can't walk out of a room without the case unless you're willing to risk disconnecting them. - The case must be kept charged, in addition to the sleepbuds. If the case has no charge, then the sleepbuds don't work. Maybe that's obvious to some people, but it is an entire additional device & battery to manage. - The case design, while clever, has a very flimsy hinge. It's not the type of case you can throw in a backpack full of gear and expect to survive. I don't have any faith it would survive even a short drop. Given how critical the case is to the device operation, this is doubly concerning. - There are random and intermittent audio quality issues even when the devices are well-charge and located close; pops and audio sources cutting in/out briefly. - After ~3 months of use, my left sleepbud developed an issue where it plays at less than half the volume of the right sleepbud. I can't hear anything from it unless the volume on my phone is maxed out. Emailing tech support got me a list of basic troubleshooting steps which I followed but did not resolve the issue. They have failed to respond to my request for what next to try (3 days and counting...). [update 4/8: It took support 7 days to respond to my email. By this time I had reset the sleepbuds using the 'pinhole' reset button on the case and the left earbud audio was restored. Email support had never suggested this as a step to try, not sure why...I had to figure it out from reading other people's issues.] - Update 12/10/2025: The left earbud went back to only playing at half the volume. I have tried all troubleshooting steps and the issue remains. I've given up on fixing this and just have been using it as-is. - Update 3/6/2026: The sleepbuds now disconnect from the case very frequently, even if they're close to the case and phone (even a few feet). I don't know if this was caused by a recent firmware update, or what happened. I would consider them unreliable to the point of being unusable. They're more like pair of earplugs now. I'm really disappointed.

It took me 3 days to figure them out but……
I’m the worst sleeper! I hated to go to bed at night because knew I would be miserable.I toss and turn all night and my husbands gets super early, and I just wake up with him making me exhausted all day long. I saw ad for sleep earbuds and purchased and returned several pairs from Amazon. I was sleeping in my apple ear pods trying to block out any noise I could but of course that wasn’t working either, they were so uncomfortable for side sleepers. I then reluctantly bought the Ozlo sleep buds and was very taken back by the price. I actually got $50 off.($299) because of a promotion. I figured I would return these as soon as I got them if they were uncomfortable like the previous pairs I purchased. It took me about three nights to get the fit in my ear, and to get them paired and to get them disconnected from the Bluetooth. Some of the annoying things that were happening just takes some patience on how to use them. I did connect with Customer Service and I did not appreciate the long list of things they tried to get me to do with a brand new pair of sleep earbuds that were connected to Bluetooth and up-to-date. However, I will say that for the first time in years, I am now sleeping soundly and not waking up to any noises. I set my alarm now because I have to, or I will sleep right through ‘till 7:30 AM! I am a side sleeper, and every once in a while, I get a tiny bit of discomfort, but most of the time with the sound blocking noises I sleep soundly. I wake up refreshed and in no pain. It has been a relief. I am fearful that they will break and I will be back to square one but so far so good! I will recommend that you are ready to go to sleep at night open the app on your phone, open your Ozlo case, connect the earbuds to your ears close the case go to sleep! In the morning open the app Connect the earbuds back into the Ozlo case make sure they are connected correctly,(the app shows you that they are connected correctly) and shut the case. The Bluetooth will then turn off if you don’t do the steps correctly, it will cause them to not work correctly. This took me three days to figure out sorry :-) but when I do these steps, everything is so nice. I go to sleep, listening to an audiobook, when I fall asleep, the earbuds go to sleep masking sounds automatically, my audiobook, pauses, and I am in a deep sleep until morning for the first time in years! This is a sincere true review, and I am still mad about the price, but I’m grateful for the small size of this noise blocking sleep earbud that actually works.

Top Quality- great replacement for Bose Sleepbuds.
Bought these as a replacement for my Böse Sleepbuds which I loved but had problems with that couldn’t be fixed. These are perfect - every bit as good as the Böse were but with none of the battery problems. As a bonus, they can be used as ’normal’ earbuds to listen to anything, then when that ends- switch automatically to the sleep sounds.

Android app is disappointing!
I was very excited and looking forward to receiving the headphones as I am a very light sleeper. While the headphones themselves are good quality and fit well, the software is absolutely disappointing. It seems focused on iOS as the nightly sleep reports are already available for that platform (not on Android). On Android however, the app feels like its been developed by an amateur. Texts don't fit on the screen and cannot be scrolled so buttons below the text cannot be reached (see screenshot) - Phone is a Samsung S24 Ultra. There are only a very small amount of white noise sounds available which would be an easy one to fix. Apps such as Ambience for example have tons of white noises. As the headphones are of no real use without the app, it would be a good idea to have an experienced developer take a few months and design a proper Android app so the luxurious price tag is actually justified.
