Just used it for the first time. Works well, heats pretty quickly, cleans up nicely, stows away easily (I have a skinny useless cabinet that is perfect to stash it). I'm still learning, but it was easy enough. Now I have to experiment with what breads are better than others, ingredients, etc. That has nothing to do with the machine, but just saying theres a lot of different creative options to try. I was told good bakery bread works better, and maybe it does, but I think I want to try cheap pre-sliced wheat with sparse ingredients and make a pressed flat crispy old-school "grandma's grilled cheese" style. It's gonna be fun to play around with it. Good unit, worth the price (IMO)

What a great little panini maker. We use it almost daily. It heats quickly. When the light turns on there is no waiting. It makes sandwiches and tortilla wraps equally well. Clean-up is quick and easy and it doesn’t take much space when put away. Keep it handy. You’ll use it a lot.

This is a great panini press. I use it almost daily. It does well for chicken; however, when lifting the lid, a paper plate is needed in the back to protect the grease from dripping on the cord protection. There is a grease catcher in the front if needed. It's perfect for panini sandwiches, which is my main goal for the purchase. It works very well.

The Hamilton Beach Panini Press is one of the best kitchen appliances I’ve bought! It makes sandwiches so quick and easy, and they come out perfectly toasted every time. The plates heat evenly, so the bread gets a nice crisp while the inside stays warm and melty. It’s also very easy to use and simple to clean, which makes it super convenient for everyday meals. The price is very reasonable for the quality, and I absolutely love how versatile it is—you can make paninis, grilled cheese, or even warm up wraps. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

For the last few months, we have been using this panini press to make grilled cheese sandwiches and other toasted sandwiches. These sandwiches have all came out near perfect, melting the cheese just right and not burning the bread. The heat distribution on the press was great at first, though seems to have gotten worse over time. At first, all sandwiches were perfectly browned. This has transitioned to the outside facing bread being toasted quite a bit more than the insides. This is easily fixed by turning the sandwiches midway through cooking, though it is an inconvenience nonetheless. There is also no way to control the temperature, meaning that you will constantly be plugging and unplugging this device. You will also not be able to adjust the temperature to your liking, which could be a massive downside. Finally, cleaning this thing is a pain. There is no way to pull the grills off to clean, so you will need to wipe it down to keep it clean. I normally do a wipe with a wet paper towel and finish up with some dawn dish soap, water, and a dry pat. Even through all these downsides, this has still been one of the best purchases I have made for the kitchen. Every sandwich that comes out of this press tastes like heaven (and it looks cool). Well worth the asking price to me.

I picked this up because I wanted a no-frills way to make toasted sandwiches and warm-ups at home. Pretty much plug it in, wait a minute or two, and you’re ready to grill. I’ve used it a handful of times for paninis, grilled cheese, etc. — it gets the job done. It doesn’t feel like a restaurant-grade grill by any means, and it’s fairly small — so you’re not making full-on dinners, but for two sandwiches or a quick snack it’s more than enough. Cleanup is easy: once it cools down, a quick wipe and you’re done. If you just want a simple device for quick sandwiches or snacks without spending much, this does the job and works fine.

I bought this for my husband because he had been wanting a panini grill. I looked at the fancier, bigger, higher priced grills, but went with this one because it has a history of good reviews. Perhaps when he proves he is responsible with this one, I will get him an upgrade :) This one is nice because there arent a lot of settings to worry about and try to remember what settings to use for what. Just turn it on, watch for the light, and then you're ready to throw your sandwich on there. He always uses thick sourdough bread and is happy with the way his sandwiches turn out. I told him to butter the grill, not the bread, and so now his results are much better. The non stick grill surfaces are nice and easy to clean. Even if a little cheese oozes out, it wipes right off with a paper towel. Nothing sticks to the surface at all. It is the perfect size for two nice sandwiches (on large bread), but yet not too big and bulky to have to worry about where to store it and it is not so big that it is cumbersome to move around and clean, etc. A lot of the other lower priced models that I looked at did not have the floating lid. This one does have the hinged floating lid so you can get thick sandwiches in there and the lid will lay flat and evenly on top. Aside from sandwiches, it is nice for burgers and steaks too. Nice to have something like this when it is too cold to go outside and run the big propane grill. We eat NY Strip and Porterhouse steaks a lot, so this little grill is really nice to get us through the winter months and not miss out on the beefy goodness. This sears them perfectly and we are able to get them done to our liking of "medium well." Boneless split chicken breasts/tenders work out wonderfully as well. It feels very well made, especially for the price and we are both happy with it. I am happy to have found such a good model at such a good price and he is happy that it works so well and is easy to use. It is the perfect combination of price, performance and value. It is not lacking any necessary features and the build quality is perfect.
