Still going strong
Put 100+ miles on these. Used primarily for heavy backpacking and some lighter hiking. This is to say the weight I put on them is generally heavy use. Trek poles turn arms into legs by spreading weight and muscle fatigue around limbs, and I do put my pack and body weight into them for both ascent and descent. I also use them for a trek pole tent. They are light, strong, and the adjustable clamps means they don't slip short under weight or in water. I lubed the shafts with silicone spray so they extend easily but dont slip or gunk up dirt like WD-40 does. They also don't cause hand numbness and tingling that two other much more expensive pairs did for me. The plastic threading on the ends stripped easily for the interchangeable rubber tips and plastic snowbaskets but I mostly just use the stock metal tips. Outstanding quality and value for the price. Very pleased. Highly recommend. This is unusually good product.

Excellent trekking poles!
These trekking poles are very good quality. We like that they are adjustable and sturdy. We used these on several long hikes (20+ miles) and the poles really helped take a lot of pressure off our knees and hips. These hiking poles are excellent to begin with, but the price makes them even better. They're definitely equal in quality and durability to much more expensive products. The company sent us a handwritten thank you card as well. Nice touch and we appreciated the gesture.

Very sturdy, but light
The poles are a great values for the price paid. They are very light, sturdy, and they also come with snow bonnets for use in the winter. The cork grips are comfortable. These really save a lot of leg energy on steep terrain . Cool colors, easy to adjust. The poles, on a particularly hard climb, did not waver. They did not compress when leaning on them heavily. I would purchase these again.

light weight and quality locks on telescoping features
We bought these for our God children when we took them for a hike. Their very easy to use and we like that you can adjust lock tension for each segment. We ordered another set for ourselves to use. These poles are light weight and came with 2 replacement rubber tips as well as 2 sized baskets for soft ground i.e. sand or rocky beach areas where we hike a lot..

Excellent Equipment
Bought these before our trip to Utah. They are light weight, solid support, easy to pack and worked in all conditions including our trek through the narrows. Similar equipment is far more expensive and our vacation family liked them so much they got them also.

Outstanding value
At 6'4" I'm at the stated upper range to use these hiking poles. Nonetheless, I purchased and found this to simply be an excellent product and the extended 54" length was perfect for my frame. Setup was straightforward and with the supplied instructions, quite clear and simple. I found the moisture-wicking cork handgrips to be comfortable with little to no fatigue on longer and challenging hikes. Additionally, after reading the instructions and properly setting the locking tension on these poles, there was zero slippage during use. I appreciated the enclosed warning that TSA might or might not allow these as carry-on and given their collapsed 24.5" length, I was able to pack them in my medium sized checked luggage. This was a last minute purchase before hiking in Yosemite and was largely/mostly based upon other user feedback. Of the hundreds (gulp) of products purchased on Amazon over the years, this product easily ranks near the top in quality and value for money spent. If you purchase these based upon my and other positive reviews, I hope you have a similar experience.

Good Budget walking poles
I "Nordic walk" every day to increase my pulse rate and also to give my spine a workout since I have osteoporosis. I bought a very expensive Leki set a few years back that go for around $200 now which I really like a lot and still use. (My bone mass has increased over 8% in the time I have been using them!) I like ordered these poles as a second set that I can keep in my car since they fold up so easily. The Leki ones have a type of strap that wraps around your whole hand and clips into the pole which makes it easier to "push off" the ground with each stride. Doing this gives your arms and back a good workout depending on how hard you push. The straps on these poles are nice but they do pull a bit on my arthritic thumb joints when I "power" walk. The styling and color choices of these poles are very pretty. (I ordered a "spring green" set for myself and two turquoise set for my sister and friend for Christmas.) They are a little noisy while walking, but not too much worse than my Leki set. The one thing I don't like is how thick the handles are. My arthritic hands start hurting within about 10 minutes of using them. I would say theses poles are at least 1/3 again the thickness of my Leki poles, so the handle's cork circumference is thicker which feels uncomfortable for my hands (and my hands are fairly small to begin with.) I will be unable to do my daily power walking with these new poles, but as I said, I ordered the as a second pair to throw in my car for spur of the moment walks I may way to take. Using walking poles has been a great way for me to get my heart rate into a "training" range, has helped ease the pain in my hips and knees while I walk and has greatly improve my fitness level as an older person. I highly recommend them for anyone and these poles are an inexpensive but good set that you could purchase as a way of trying it. I would recommend ordering the Leki rubber boots to put on the bottom since they will last much longer than the cheap ones on Amazon. I ordered a $10 pair and they wore out in a matter of weeks. The Leki ones, although around $20, lasted me over a year.

They do need some finessing to get them so they don't slip when coming downhill or if you've got a bit of weight on you (like me). But considering the price for the pair, they're genuinely really good! I was surprised. For those wondering if these help at all, if you're like me and have muscle issues and just generally unfit, they absolutely help. Just helps you in a subtle way but in a way you feel over a longer period or when going up hill. I struggle uphill and after about 30 minutes of walking since my muscles just can't handle it and these things gave me a new lease of life when I started using them. Just helped me keep up and keep in the middle of the pack instead of right at the back. Materials are all good hear, handles are nice, the straps don't feel that noticeable when uses correctly. A few extra additions to the pack. Genuinely a good buy at £34.99!

As I get older and still keen on walking, I wanted to try trekking poles to make life easier and protect my knees for longer. I've taken these poles out for their first 50-mile trek in the Cotswolds over 5 days, and now just love them. I really think I should have bought something like them sooner. The included instructions are very good, but I watched some of my trusted YouTube commentators to make sure I could glean all the possible benefits. In particular, choosing the right design of hiking pole was as important as learning the right techniques. The poles seem well made, certainly tough enough and adjustable as described. The design of the cork handle and gripping points are great - no rubbing at all.
