Hot knife through butter
This is my first plasma machine. To make sure this shows up in the right section, this is for the 55 PRO DS. Specifically chosen because of the non HF start. This is something that is important if you ever plan on hooking this up to a cnc table (The HF start can cause problems). I don't have a cnc table yet, so this review is just regular use.I have 240 and 120v available. I tested this on 1/4" thick steel diamond plate, using 35 psi of air, and 120v, with the amps maxed out at 35. I've welded probably a thousand feet of wire, but I've never used a plasma machine before, so this was quite literally my first try. Pulled the trigger and proceeded at a faster speed than I would use if I were welding. In my case, that was too fast, so I came back and moved at the same speed I would use for mig welding a 1/4" plate. That worked perfectly for me. Very little blow out on the back, and a remarkably thin kerf.I feed this with a 60 gallon dual-cylinder cast iron compressor, so I have more than enough air. I haven't tried it on my smaller 30 gallon 240v single cylinder unit. I would have to guess this uses about the same amount of air as a blow gun. So if your compressor can keep up with a blow gun, then I think you should be good. If not, then you might have to time it so you know how long you can cut before you wait for the compressor to keep up. The good news is that you don't need high pressure at all.The air does need to be dry, but it does have a dryer in the kit, so if you don't have a dryer elsewhere, you should be okay. For me, I have a filter right at the pressure regulator right next to the compressor, so it's technically dried and regulated twice. This is a tiny plasma cutter, but I think most of the newer ones are small and light like this one. The value is through the roof as something like this even at the local discount tool store would be closer to a grand than not. It feels like a good quality tool - I have yeswelder other items and they are faring pretty well with use. Only time will tell of course and I will update this review if I run into any problems with it.

Fits the build for my projects
I love my plasma cutter. Being a retired mechanic, I needed a plasma cutter to use working on my projects at home. The yeswelder plasma cutter is great for the projects I have encountered. Cutting bearing races like butter.

Nice plasma cutter.
Happy with my purchase. Cuts through eighth inch steel like a knife through hot butter. Just started using the welder though.

Great products and customer service.
Mine worked great. The torch did malfunction after heavy use. I talked with the company, and I was sent a brand new replacement. I have had Yeswelder brands, and they perform as a high-end welder does. I have, and owned both. I will not hesitate to purchase anything from Yeswelder.

A lot better than having oxy-acetylene tanks and torch (for my use)
I use this a lot to cut steel plates up to 3/16". It can easily cut thicker, I just don't work with thicker plating. Works great with my old craftsman air compressor. Easy to set up and use.
