I've got to say, I am surprised at how well it works as new. There are a couple things I've noticed.
First, my use case. I've started rebuilding aquariums, my own as a test bed. I've done it before and built sumps/refugium's, but it is always a hassle with a standard caulking gun with the stepper/presser bar sticking out of the back, and smacking your tanks. With this one my obstruction is limited at first to the size of the caulk, and half the length of the Siligun. Once the caulk passes through to the back of the Siligun, your max length is the caulk tube. I did not do any trials on any other material, simply glass, and I went at it assuming proper function, and aside from not properly seating the first tube, it went flawlessly. I won't discuss application because that is entirely a function of style, angle, cut of the feed tube, speed and consistency of application. Not a one of these can or should Siligun attempt to address other than suggestions. Prior to ordering this I read the reviews, and instantly discarded any emotional feedback, or those user error/application issues. What would I change? A little disappointed that the clutch trigger carries across the plastic molded version from the all plastic gun. If mine makes it through 2 more tubes of caulk, the hang on hook is going to be removed. And while it would make it more expensive, I'd build in some form of lifter for the tube cutter, so when the job is done, it would be easier to retract the tube from the gun. All of my successes in removing the, so far, 2 tubes has been from a simple manipulation of the clutch. Another thing I noticed, and it is not yet a problem, is that which has been called out previous; that being the skateboard texture that lines the clutch puller slit internal. Mine is working fine, but some have said after repetitive use, the texture gums up with the abrasion of the caulking tube. This "might" be helped if that was a reverse cleating, small reverse ramps facing toward the rear of the clutch. Hats off for reinventing the caulking gun, and I can't wait to see what their Gen 2's will improve upon.

Absolutely worth it
Really cool caulking gun. Starts out at about half the length of a normal caulking gun and then it just Gets shorter as you use it. Then as the empty tube comes out the backside, you can cut the tube to make it even shorter. Makes caulking in tight spaces so much easier. Great product if you’re into caulk.

Cool, but good AND bad
I like this pretty good, but it STILL runs a bit after triggering. I have a bad right hand and the pull trigger is wide, so I usually have to use both hands to pull it's trigger. It IS great for tight spaces and way more easy to swap hands when way up on an extension ladder. the WORST part is getting the empty tube OUT. ...I have to take it to the truck and clamp some vice grips to the nozzle and pull it while hitting the tube out with a hammer. very tough to do. ...and dried caulking gets in front of the internal cutting blade and I have to use a small screwdriver to dig the dried caulk out from time-to-time. ... but it's shortness still makes it worth using

Great idea but some major flaws
Brilliant 'concept' ... BUT .. few things wrong. One semi major and 2 major - It doesn't have a rod for piercing membrane on new tubes of caulk - had to run back out to the van and grab something out of my tool bag. - I couldn't actually get it to work. The back edge of the tube hung up on the blade and pull as hard as I could it wouldn't get started - AND I noticed that even if (and possibly when) I get it to start, the design won't allow the tube to turn (since tube will be locked in place by the blade) which will be a major hassle when you need to reorient the slant on the tube tip which needs to be done alot. ps ... So I decided to return it but missed return date by ONE DAY!

Love it but didn't last long
I really like the design, it is very easy to use. Haven't had any issues in the tight places. Although it only lasted about three months, and then the clutch gave out

Not so Much Generalized Use
This does leak, even with the release pulled back…caulk still dispenses which is why I bought it. The caulk tube piercer is not connected so you can forget in your pocket or on the counter because you need a screwdriver to ory it out of the handle…It absolutely locks in there…and again you’ll need something to pry it out. Becomes more compact as you use it as you can cut off the end of the tube since this splits it as you use so some utility or you. Nave used caulks and use in tight spots easier however because it cuts the tube as the caulk is used/dispensed you can NOT twist the angle of the tube like traditional caulk guns…that’s a negative for me. Don’t care about not having an onboard way to cut the caulk tube tip, don’t use it because I prefer to use a razor blade for a precise tip but again, the way you put it in, is the way it stays so no twisting to adjust angle of the bead…but you can decide for yourself. Taking a tube out not as easy but again for specialized short use no big deal…Wowed by the initial short video, looks cool, could be utilized in specialized functions but in general, for me…I’ll return to the regular caulk gun…cool looking and cool design…I’d recommend ditching the tube splitter on the way out we can cut as needed which will allow to twist the tube snd dispensing angle and figure a way to keep the tube piercer onboard and not needing a pry tool to get it outta the handle…I don’t think there’s a way to stop caulk from leaking from any gun, the traditional one I release the pressure and it stops, this continues with or without pressure on the release…

Great design caulk gun
This is a wonderful design as you're able to use it in tighter spaces by just cutting some of the tube off that sticks out and it works pretty well. This may be my new go to caulk gun. The quality is very nice and it functions pretty well at least right now..

WORKS AS WELL OR BETTER AS ANY CONVENTIONAL CAULK GUN,.
i HAVE ALWAYS BOUGHT THE BEST CAULK GUNS AVAILABLE, THEY HAVE TO WORK AND WORK WELL, AND NOT DRIP. TRIED THIS SILGUN ON A WHIM, JUST TO CHECK IT OUT, WORKS AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN ANY GUN I HAVE USED. THE COMPACT DESIGN IS AWESOME, CAULKED AROUND TWO TOILETS IN THGHT SPACES WITH NO HANDLE TO WALL COLLISIONS FOR A CHANGE. DOESNT ELED ON OR DRIP WHEN THE TRIGGER IS RELEASED, WHOLE HEARTEDLY RECOMMEND THIS TOOL

The only caulking gun you will need.
Best buy for years, it’s a pleasure to use, gets in to small places, unlike the regular guns, well happy with this little beauty.

Excellent quality, but..........
I just received this new gun for caulking and so far it's pretty good. Now, I'm coming using cheap and cheerful silicone/ caulking tube guns, to try this. The good is the quality is excellent. Really well constructed and robust feel. As the tube empties, the gun slices the back of the tube, which is good and bad. Good because it's easier to cut it off, but bad because the slicing blade stops you from twisting the gun inside the gun. This matters when you want to adjust the angle of the nozzle, but can't.....like you could with a cheap gun. Also, releasing pressure on the tube is not that easy and you will always have caulk dripping out the end. Maybe I just need to get more used to it.
