Works well, but not user friendly
This meter does what it is advertised to do, and more. But I have found the user interface is a bit subpar, and makes a lot of tasks harder to do. I am sure these tasks will become easier with time as I learn the idiosynchrasies of the instrument.

This isn't setup for almost any US based satellite systems.
It doesn't work on most US based satellite systems. Will not lock in on the 2 I bought it for. I've gone through every setting. And yes, I've been a sat tech for over 23 years.

Not useful
Can't find Dish Network Satellites by name. Found it useless for the specific task I bought it for.

AVOID. DO NOT PURCHASE IF IN THE USA
Like others, the battery died after about 8 months. It has minimal use for US based SATS. Looking for a new one but it costs almost as much as a new standard v8. Update 8/21/25 - I removed the battery from the unit and used a charger to charge the battery and I got the unit working again. I still wouldnโt recommend this unit as the connectors are cheap and end up breaking which I repaired but for the average person I would avoid this.
