I don't subscribe to their magazine and the few books I have by this company do not include these patterns – thus they are all new to me. You may want to check to be sure that this is true for you as well. I'll provide a listing of the names of the patterns and some photo stills as well to assist you in determining if you have these already.The patterns are provided in written and visual charts with lots of diagrams of specific stitches and patterns of stitches. I like that both methods are provided. While I generally use written instructions, the visual ones are of great assistance with some of the more advanced techniques. The instructions are written in US crochet terms and they did not include a conversion chart to UK terms. You should be able to find a chart with a simple search on the Internet.The patterns are by a variety of artists and include the name and the size of yarn used for each shawl. I consider most to be intermediate to advanced patterns. They include lists of hook size(s), notions (if any) and gauge sizes, too. Each shawl is shown in multiple photos so you can see it from a variety of angles. The photographs are very well come. There are many shawls done in 0 and size 1 yarns and a few are in DK, worsted weight and bulky. That makes for a nice variety.The one problem I have with the book is that they decided to print the written instructions in a medium gray instead of black. It makes it a little difficult to read.
