DD Hammocks Tarp 4x4 - Large Weatherproof Tapaulin for Group Camping and Outdoor Bushcraft Shelter

Fantastic product, can do so many things with it, really limited only by imagination. I used mine in pretty harsh windy, stormy weather but it had no problems despite I didn't go easy on it. It has a variety of connecting points seemingly just about anywhere you could ever need, well designed and thought out. It is well treated so keeps the water out and dries quickly. Packs down light and compact. It comes with a couple of short guy lines and a few pegs, which aren't great. I'd definitely recommend adding decent ones to your pack.

Ok, so firstly this is a really good tarp. It has 19 points at which to fix cords for to put it easily into whatever set up you are doing. It's really easy to clean, really light too! I went for this because I found the 3x3 a little small, although the 3x3 is perfectly adequate for 1 or 2 people I just wanted a touch more space. It is quite thin, but stood up to getting trampled on a few times without incident or perforation (luckily). Very expensive in my opinion but also worth it. It had a couple of broken stitches when it arrived but nothing a little glue couldn't fix. I am very very happy with this purchase.

I bought this to make an awning for our family tent, which has the standard issue sloping, water gathering front door. The tarp is high quality, huge and strong. The number of fixing points make it easy to make a very spacious, weatherproof area at the front of the tent. If you were considering using this tarp for backpacking I'd recommend the 3x3 from the same seller, which I've also bought. This one is huge and relatively heavy.

Was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the tarp arrived. The tarp itself is thin but well made with reinforced corners. It is certainly big enough for hammock camping and storing your goods inside it. It is a bit on the heavy side so a light version of this product would be advantageous for backpacking. I like that it has loops instead of eyelets especially with Scottish weather which can be very unpredictable. I will be taking it on the WHW and trying it out with my dog. However, there are a couple small questions that are left unanswered such as whether the tarp requires recoating with waterproof coating products or whether it is fully waterproof and whether it is fire retardant. Ideally the answer to these questions should be in the information about the product. A handy little hint for packing, stuffing it is difficult to get to fit in the sack it comes in but if you fold over several times to make it small but long and then fold it over going down the length making sure to squeeze excess air out as you go it will fit in the sack easily.

I own many 3X3 tarps including the DD hammock 3x3 but the extra metre each way has made so much difference for the better. The 3x3 was excellent for spring through to fall but now winter has arrived I can close myself in and still have enough room for my kit plus a small table and stool. There are plenty of tie offs to enable you to have so many configurations and the quality of DD tarps is far superior to my previous ones. The only downside is having somewhere with enough space to dry it out if you have to pack it away in the rain but I managed finally by drying it with a microfibre towel as I removed it from the stuff sack.

For the sheer size this tarp is a bargain. I was hunting around for something of a similar size and the prices are either really cheap (and the product you get would fall to bits after one winter) or really expensive. Finding the middle road item was almost impossible until I came across this. The sheet is really big and you need a degree in mathematics to get it back in its tiny bag. Would have been nice if if were a little bigger just to help you out a little. The pegs come in a separate little bag which is also a nice touch.

DD make quality tarps with 16 side and 3 centre attachment points, and the 4x4m is an excellent size for larger groups or can be used to create bivouac shelters that include a 'floor' made of one side of the tarp This is a lot bigger (and slightly heavier) than my other 3x2 tarp, and makes an excellent dining shelter for standing camps. I chose the coyote brown to blend in with natural foliage in the winder very happy with this purchase and expect this tarp to last me many years

This is my second dd tarp, ( had an XL stolen) replaced it with another large type tarp (not dd).good but not dd quality. When turned correctly you can use tieouts to expand a-frame sides. Very roomy. Not Defender tough but tough and much lighter. It is a square tarp ,so think 10x10 on steroids when configuring. Do not think twice if you want space to sleep or chores in wet weather (snowed my second use) . Packs small enough, plenty of tieouts... Just a great piece of kit.

普段あまりレビューなどしないのですが 納得行かないのでレビューします。 試し張りした際に 糸がほつれていたので確認するとここだけミシン縫い目が２つあり おかしいなと思いよく確認したら どうやら ミシン縫いの際 曲がって縫ってしまったようで また新たに まっすぐ縫い直しており そこだけ２つになっていました。 さらにひどいのは曲がったミシン縫い目の糸が ほつれてタープにはミシンが開けた穴だけ残ってしまいました。 正規品だから安心してタグを外して捨ててしまいましたが タグなど外す前に １度 品質の確認をおすすめします。 追記です タグを外してしまったので 交換は無理かなと あきらめ半分で 販売店に連絡した所 すぐにメールが来て DD Hammocks Japanに報告したので 直接 メールで連絡してくださいとの指示あり。 そこで オフィシャルサイトからメールした所 すぐに連絡が来て交換させていただきますとのメールがきました。 また 対応も早く メールして２日ほどで郵送で新品のものと交換していただきました。 正規品 バンザイっ 並行輸入品と比べたら値段は高いですが やはり保証があると安心感があります。

前からずっと気になってましたよ やっと購入できました。 これからのキャンプが楽しみ。 アレンジ張り挑戦します。
