## Description

Created in the 1940's in collaboration with Picasso, these creamy, lipstick-like pastels are rich in pigment, cover well and have outstanding opacity. They may be thinned with turpentine, worked with a brush and can be applied to any surface. The 12-color set includes white, pale blue, lemon yellow, black, yellow ochre, burnt umber, cinnabar green yellow, green medium, mandarin, delft blue, permanent intense red and French ultramarine blue.

Review: No derivatives of coconut or palm so... - I decided to purchase these in early January of twenty twenty four when they were marked down at around ten something in $$$ (when I added them to the cart though, it went up to sixteen something 🫠 still better in $$$ in comparison 🤷‍♀️) I read online that these pastels are made from refined Safflower Oil throughout the production process it undergoes so as a result of that I decided to try my luck at using them. These oil pastels are incredibly creamy as well as highly pigmented and since I previously used the chalky variation of the SENNELIER pastels in my Drawing 2 class while I was working on my in-class and take home assignments I decided I'd give the oil pastels a chance since even the chalky variation was highly pigmented to the point where it showed up quite vividly on my skin and so I wanted to experiment further with the oil pastels... There's still a learning curve I'm trying to overcome. P.S: Make sure to refrigerate them, for the sake of longevity and . durability since otherwise they'll turn/melt and become too soft. P.S: They're beautiful with ease in blendability the set of six is incredibly high quality in their pigments the set can be snatched up at a value for the money on the first of the month of the new year. However, putting the pigments near the eyes... Is not recommended (I say so from experience).

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An amazing foray into Sennelier’s oil pastels

This is a great way to try Senneliers oil pastels. You can mix these colours and create more of them. I like using walnut oil and a brush to thin them out and use them like a paint medium. They are soft, pigmented and high quality. Easy to use and blend.
